If you like comic books and super heroes, check this out.
And if, within the first 20 minutes or so you find yourself thinking this is just another Saturday morning super hero cartoon.... just wait another 10 minutes or so.

Caught 1-3 today
It was OK, but it's getting a little too SJW wokey. Not so much I'm done with it, but close.
It's got an interesting twist so far, which you alluded to, that is a fresh take for certain.

I had never heard of this comic till last week. Just watched the first 3 episodes and very impressed and intrigued with where the story will go.
In alot of shows, it takes awhile for the story to develop and get good etc. This is the opposite of that. They are advancing things super fast it seems. Though there is only 8 episodes so I guess they have to.

I haven't looked to see when the next episode drops, I wish they would all be available at once so I could just binge them whole thing.

Is this animated or no?
It sounds like a similar vein to The Boys, how does it compare to that one? Because I loved that one, and this thread has me interested in this one.

It is animated and also based off a comic, I wouldn’t put it on the same level as The Boys but it’s worth the watch.

Watched the first episode yesterday. I kept waiting for something to happen based on this thread, and then the credits came and I was like WTF.
And then it continued on for ten more minutes after the credits, and I understood.
I’ll give this a shot and keep watching.

Invincible as a comic was actually non-SJW and was a lot better and even handled. They changed it in the TV show.
HOwever, this is non spoiler
If you want a better Invincible experience, aka Son of Superman type of deal, read the first 50 to 60 issues of invincible.
From 70- until it ended it went full on SJW woke bs. In order to address the time period where fat people said "fat is healthy" Kirkman made Atom Eve fat for no reason what so ever, then she remained a fat whale for 3 years in the comics until the whole "Fat is healthy" crazed died down and she slim down again, again no with no reason.
They also made INvincible from a guy who wanted to do go to be a complete soy boy who backs down from everything. THis is a major tonal shift form his heroics from the first 60-70 issues. He suddenly became less masculine.
Finally, the whole Me Too movement, Kirkman added that intoo and addressed it in a very dumb way.
It stop being clever and funny and just started to write about the "Trump's America" slick. Of course if you were to read any comics from 2015-2020, all of them went full on SJW woke.
So i was surprise they decided to go full on woke this early. But whatever I guess, new generation right?
