IMO, you should go there. I used the reward for the area almost the entire game from when I picked it up to the end

I liked 12 a lot. Matsuno stepping away from it probably had something to do with it not being as good as it could have been, but I still liked it. It’s been a long long time since I played though

Had no idea people use them for drying everything. I always thought they were just for bedding. Keeps the sheets from getting knotted up and dries much quicker

I don’t see how that’s going to be possible. If it gets to a point where an AI can do that on its own, without any direction from a human, it won’t give a shite about creating a movie to entertain humans unless some matrix situation happens.
Someone will always have to be around to tell it a story to make a movie from.
We agree on everything else you said

Didn’t you say earlier that it could help with a cure for cancer?
Do you want Hollywood to keep their jobs and productions to stay expensive?
We’ve seen for the past 25 years that SFX in movies hasn’t really gotten that much better and really has looked worse in some respects. CG everything could be argued has made productions lazier and a lot worse looking than back when there were actual practical effects and real stunts. For example, they’ve not been able to make things look much better than 25 years ago when you had Neo fighting 100 Agent Smiths, the spider man trilogy and Legolas hopping around on a cave troll. Furiosa looked worse than Fury Road. AI can help with a lot of that. You really telling me some of the action scenes you’ve seen from seedance don’t look better than a lot of what we’ve seen from Hollywood the past 15 years? CG blood everywhere looking like shite instead of using squibs anymore. Hell even in 2025 we got the Derry show that had some retarded looking scenes despite it overall being a pretty fun show.
I don’t see anyone advocating AI writing entire scripts. If they do you’ll have your points with “soulless slop.” See what happened with Stranger Things season 5. What I’m saying is things like Rings of Power. Was anyone asking for that when it got announced that Amazon bought the rights? I’m talking about what we got, not what we thought we would get. We had tons of stories written by Tolkien that could’ve been put to film. Instead we got what we did. Bastardized versions of what Tolkien wrote to send a message. That’s just one example. There are so many other properties out there that could be made into something incredible but won’t because it just hasn’t been realistic for studios to invest so much into it, or they don’t have the correct message. Now there won’t be such a barrier.
The big studios better be looking into how to use these new tools or they will get left behind by ones that start to adapt to it

What point are you trying to make, exactly?
That your argument is fricking dumb.
More efficient, cheaper technologies come along all the time. It’s the same thing with AI just to a much higher degree. Are we all supposed to forego a cheaper more efficient energy source because there’s still coal and people can mine it and have jobs?
The thing about AI it seems people don’t understand is it’s here and progressing at breakneck speed. I realize some of you would like the government to put regulations on it so people can keep their jobs, but do you think China is going to do that as well? Whatever country decides to do that is screwing themselves over.
When China is sending their kung fu robots over here to beat our asses and turn us into AI food, I hope you can be satisfied in your moral victory that we didn’t put Hollywood out of their jobs

So what? I’ve been assured by the experts here that it’s all soulless and will never progress from what we are seeing today

This is why AI powered game development may be a good thing. Humans can lay the groundwork, but let AI evolve the game in customized paths.
Or, it just gives more people the capability to be able to create the games they like with much less barrier to entry. IE being able to code or investments. If you don’t have to cater to investors demands then you can make the type of games you enjoy without worrying about how much money you make.

Right right. I get them mixed up sometimes because they (edit: it and no country for old men) were released in theaters about the same time.
Point still remains. It was already written by a person and not AI.

I know you know that There Will Be Blood was written by Cormac McCarthy and not computer generated.
Nobody is advocating that the ai write the stories right now. Maybe that will happen, but right now all of it is either memes or scenes created by AI from things that have already been written by humans.
