My God, we better hope Orgeron is talking about Nielsen and not Kris Richard. I could see him fooling everyone and making a completely boneheaded move by hiring Richard, just because Pete Carroll said so.

My worst fear is waiting 1-4 weeks to get a definitive answer from Nielsen then him turning us down.

You can hire Nielsen without him leaving his current post until the season is over. Happens all the time.

I think it had to do with the fact that they disagreed on 4 man front. Don’t know that for a fact just assuming.

My guess is he's Orgeron's top choice, but LSU isn't Nielson's top choice. He probably wants to see what other opportunities pop up. I'm ok with this as long as LSU's still interviewing guys and willing to give Nielson an ultimatum if we find someone else we like.
