The most important position that needed to be filled this off-season was DC. For all practical purposes, they probably knew it was gonna be open mid-fall. Yet, here we are and they’re acting like somebody walked into Orgeron’s office two weeks ago and surprised him.

When you’re looking to fill that position given all the details of LSU’s situation (best season ever to a terrible season defense wise), you best have your shite together. You don’t have a chicken shite list of 2-3 guys and interview them one at a time. This is a coaching hire. It’s not going on dates to make a decision on a girlfriend.

And the very last thing you do is take your time. I don’t know how to say that any differently. You just don’t. And no, it’s not like saying that means you hold a gun to somebody’s head. Just do your fricking job and get your man.

Freeman sent this into a tailspin of sorts. They had him, he said yes, told his old players he was going to LSU, etc. He changed his mind last minute without warning LSU and we were left at the alter.

There's no way Notre Dame offered more money than us so he must've just had second thoughts about working for Orgeron and moving to a different region of the country.

But he said yes. He was our guy and we got him to say yes.

That was only a few weeks ago and then we had Nielsen who also said yes, but we had to wait until Saints season ended.

We now have until March before Spring practice starts. There is no need to rush into a bad hire.

I think O puts all of his eggs in one basket, counts on his "buddies" way too much. The problem I have is that should never be the case. So his ability to actually run a program is very on edge for me. One season where everything was perfect, then we jumped off the cliff. It shouldn't be like that. So all this lightning in a bottle has weight to it. Is O who we thought he was? maybe, only time will tell. And his time is running short.

Disagree with that part whole heartedly. And to my point, the part that has me pissed is there should never be a need to ever “rush” into any hire. If they were truly being diligent and prepared, that is.

coaches and they on esiad yes then changed his mind .The

If you don`t like O just say it .He cant make the decisions for them.
there are many DC canidates out there give the man a break and let him do his job or just go follow Nick.

At this point Orgeron should become the defensive coordinator
