re: Myles Brennan been hitting the Shelvin meal plan?

LOL! That is a pretty accurate portrait of the current physical shape Brennan is in.
Brennan never was built like a weight room warrior, he was always soft, but he has now hit the upper levels of softness on any scale I know of.

I have heard nothing about Max transferring, I'm just making the point that in theory if he doesn't play at all this year, because John Daly Jr(take a look at the latest pictures of Brennan on the rant) beats him out, it could be a possibility.
My point was always that if for whatever reason Max isn't here, then neither will Jake.

No it's not good, he is on the diet plan from "Super Size Me" Seriously, he looks like he should be on the PGA tour with that physique. That isn't the build a Div I college athlete in any sport should have.
From this point forward I'll refer to him as John Daly Jr.

It doesn't take a certified nutritionist to see that Brennan is straight up fat now. He looks like he is on the drink a 12 pack a day, 3 square meals at Wendy's diet plan.
Being in that sort of shape is no way to show anybody you are serious about playing any kind of sport. Dude is on that John Daly workout plan, and looks like him too. Now he will be even slower than before, and he was a granite statue before he got fat.

Once again, what I said was absolute is if Max transfers then Jake Johnson doesn't sign here. That is what is absolute.
I never said if Max doesnt start or play he is guaranteed to transfer. The only guarantee is that if he decides to transfer, Jake ain't coming here. That is the hard fact that nobody on this forum seems to want to accept. Because people don't like that fact doesn't make it any less true.
If anybody thinks Jake even considers coming here if Max were to transfer is not living in reality. Giving me an infinite amount of meaningless downvotes on an LSU message forum don't change that. I'm not sure why anybody gives a rats arse about clicking on a green up arrow or red down arrow. Their meaning is as worthless as the time it takes to do it.

Exactly, White was 260lbs. Citizen is 217lbs, and even so, there are a number of 230+lb RB's in the NFL. Leonard Fournette is one of them.
Hopefully we land the combo of Moss, and Citizen, and call it good for RB's for 2022.

Is there going to be more fallout due to the Les Miles latest information? We really don't need any extra attention from the NCAA on us for any more of this type of crap. It does nothing good for the football program even if none of it were true. The public perception of it is bad enough to hurt LSU.

I'm not sure what the right path is to be honest, play the veteran, or play the freshman. If they are close to equal in talent and results, I tend to go with the freshman. If the end product, wins/losses will be roughly the same, why not get the guy who is going to be here longer more experience to get better.
That is how I see it anyways. If the veteran is head and shoulders better, then its a pretty obvious choice, but you could lose the guy who has long term starter potential if he decides he isn't going to wait. Like I said there are going to be consequences either way, which ones are more acceptable than the others??
We need a great tight end in this offense, but I would not sacrifice the season for him. On the other hand, maybe we arent set up very good for the season after that at the TE position because of that choice. Choices vs Consequences with everything in life.

TJ was terrible at the times we needed him to play the best, and that isnt arguable. He threw a pick 6, came back and threw another one on the drive after that, and Coach O blew up on his arse on the sideline and deservedly so. He was benched, and was looking around appearing to not give a shite about how bad he fricked up.

You wont get any argument out of me with that statement, but there is always going to be consequences to making decisions, regardless of what they are. The end consequence is that we accept not getting the #1 high school tight end in the country, thats all there is to it in this case.

I was never trying to say that we don't try to win now, all I was saying is the consequence of Max not starting or sitting on the pine all year, may very well be a transfer. If he does transfer, then Jake isnt coming here period.
All I said was the result of Max not playing is likely him leaving and Jake following him to wherever he goes. There isnt any way that if Max leaves Jake comes here anyways, that's not going to happen. I think that is pretty much an indisputable fact.
Win, lose, tie it doesn't matter, if Max leaves, Jake follows and that is the truth.
This isnt referring to yourself, but some people on this board love to take words that are typed on a message forum and then draw conclusions that they want to believe on their own, rather than making sure to ask the source what they meant. That's called making shite up.

Brennan doesn't have that much more actual game experience than Max,he does have significantly more practice experience.
Brennan still plays like he is a little bit scared, and he is also unusually slow afoot. I think even TJ Finley is quicker afoot than him.
Max didn't play with any fear and compared to Brennan or TJ Finley from a mobility standpoint he may as well be Usain Bolt out there.
Brennan is freaking slooooowwwww!

He is going to be a beast, but if Max were to end up transferring you can forget any chance of getting Jake. It is what it is for those of you who keep begging for Miles Brennan to be the starter once again.
It would probably be in our best long term interest that Brennan not regain the starting QB role, if we are going to land Jake.

Did not realize that, it figures there would be no requirements to post on the LSU forum, but there are to post on other teams forums.
Clearly there are major douchebags from those other forums that stick their big noses into this board. I can make perfectly valid points in discussions, and it never fails, some asshat will auto downvote my comment regardless.

Longevity wise and possibly financially you could be right, however you have to factor in what position the kid actually enjoys playing more.
If Citizen wants to be a RB more than a LB, then for God's sake let the kid make the choice to play RB.
If LSU doesn't give him that choice, another school will, and he will be out the door. Its different if the kid has the choice, but it's BS if the coach says "sorry son your a linebacker here" that isn't going to work, and more kids will leave then stay when position changes are forced on them.

How about we actually leave kids in the position that they are highest ranked at? Citizen is a RB straight up. He may play OLB, and SS at the high school level, but he is a highly ranked 4 star RB.
Let's not keep pushing kids into positions they may not want to play nor is that their best position to play in order to get them to the next level. Just because it worked once with Devin White doesn't mean these position changes will have that outcome every time. We are more likely to push these kids out the door with any sort of forced position change.
Citizen will be a RB, either here or someplace else, let's make sure it's here.

re: ‘22 QB commit Walker Howard now a 5* on Rivals
Posted by PowahCajun on 2/24/21 at 5:47 pm to The Pirate King
Why do they keep listing Howard at his freshman and sophomore height? He is definitely taller than 6'1" now. You can tell from the pictures next to taller dudes he is in.
It looks like he is about 6'3" now with a rocket launcher arm, and runs a 4.6 40. He's got every physical tool he needs to be really special. It also seems like he has the intangible things you can't measure like heart, toughness, and will.

We have got to land Stewart, we've got to keep landing pass rushers, and its beyond time for us to land the #1 pass rusher in high school football.
