re: How many National titles would Maneri have if - whitefoot
Too bad success in Hoover doesn't mean much, and if it does, then we probably underperformed during the season. Don't get me wrong, this week is really fun, but it doesn't wipe out the feeling that PM teams underperform more often than not....

re: Garza has blocked everything. Bad decision imo for Mathis to replace - whitefoot
You gotta try to win the game at some point. Y'all can say Garza isn't that much slower than Bianco, but he's definitely slower and it could have been the difference between barely beating a throw at the plate and getting thrown out by a couple of feet. ...
FWIW, He is listed on Geaux 247 as "signed" on the football list.
There have definitely been instances where 247 listed a guy as signed when he was actually a walk-on or grayshirting. I think they do the best that they can with the information they're able to obtain, but it's not al...

re: Maurice Hampton Question - whitefoot
Nope; doesn't count against the football (or higher revenue sport) until the player actually plays
That only applies to multi-sport athletes who weren't recruited and offered a scholarship in football. For example, some scholarship kid from the soccer team (at say...Clemson, s...
Players usually start workouts soon after they hit campus at the beginning of summer
Ok. I don't really follow summer workouts very closely. I was just going off of when we usually see the freshman move in threads on the rant, which I thought happened at the end of July, right bef...

re: Maurice Hampton Question - whitefoot
I don't think it's common (or maybe not even allowed) for incoming freshmen football recruits to participate in summer workouts. But, the MLB draft signing deadline is in the beginning of July, while freshmen don't arrive on campus until the end of July, so we should know what he's doing several ...

re: Maurice Hampton Question - whitefoot
Can that be done within the rules?
Sure. It would basically be a glorified commitment announcement and he'll just sign scholarship papers after the MLB draft shakes out. That said, I highly doubt this is actually the case with Hampton. I'm just hoping this is the case, but I don't...

re: Maurice Hampton Question - whitefoot
We lose the spot if he signed an actual letter of intent. I'm holding out hope that he didn't. I believe there are occasions where recruits sign ceremonial letters that are just for show at signing ceremonies. Hopefully we assured him a spot but didn't actually provide an LOI for him to sign until a...
I think everyone was worried about it. But, he's gonna have to pitch eventually and you're not gonna start Walker when he pitched on Thursday. re: So tell me again how good LSU will be when Henry returns... - whitefoot
Walker and Marceaux would have to pitch on short rest, I think. I wouldn't have wanted to do that tonight. I figured Fontenot was going to get the start again. I was worried about Henry's first game back being a must win. I'd have held him until we got to double elimination. And no, Lunatik,...
