I shut my eyes and fall asleep basically. Nothing more relaxing to me and my guy knows how to cut my hair so I don't have to watch.

The worst is a dentist trying small talk while digging around in your mouth

I only care about it if I feel like they're not paying attention to the actual haircut.
I've gotten bad cuts before and I chalked it up to the amount they were talking.

I hate small talk at all times, not just during haircuts.

I'm exactly the opposite.
It feels awkward as hell to sit in complete silence, and I am often compelled to talk.
I tend to agree. Sitting there like a mannequin seems a lot more weird than hearing/participating in even a one-sided conversation.

It depends on the company and conversation. If I'm in an old school barber shop that still gives you the hot towel & shave on the neck, pretty good chance you're gonna hear some good jokes and one-liners from a white haired old man and that has a million stories. If I'm in a Fantastic Sams and some old fat broad is just trying to ask me what I'm up to today or my weekend plans, I'm not interested in explaining my life to a stranger.

Don't mind it as the single babe who cuts my hair is in our social scene and is the perky, cheerleader type. She catches me up w her latest fling, which always ends badly (never her fault). She crushed on me when we met years ago, but of course I was taken. Kinda nice knowing there's some talent out there ready and willing if I ever needed it.

Best part about a haircut is when she leans in and you catch a boob graze on you shoulder.

Yes. I’ve been cutting my own hair for the past 4 years to avoid hair salon small talk.

Mine used to brush her nipples on your back while doing her work and blow the hair off your neck. She was very close to being a stripper

Sure is a lot of talk about well-endowed hairdressers rubbing their impressives all over people, yet not one single pic.

He is one of only a few locals I can speak English with, so for me I enjoy it.

My old dentist was an extremely gregarious and talkative guy. He played linebacker for Notre Dame in the early 70s, including the game at LSU in '71, and was friends with DiNardo.
Luckily he didn't talk much while actually doing dental work, but he and I would always spend about 20min after the appointment talking about college football and LSU.

Fortunately for me I don’t get my haircut. My wife shaved my head whenever it gets too long. 1 all around.

I do but I go to sport clips and stuff. I have nothing to say to them

Nope. I like meeting people, talking, cracking jokes and being nice. Silence is awkward.
