So, you're ok with the government having access to your health records. And linking them to your driver license. So a police officer can stop you at any time, scan your license, and tell the woman in the car with you that you tested positive for an STD two years ago.

You know, because they're just trying to keep everyone safe?

Because this doesn't stop when this virus fades away. It gets worse. Government never gives up any power.

But after scanning the ID of one of the students who lives in the house, he saw a note on his computer that the student tested positive for COVID-19 just one week prior.

I am uncomfortable with the cop knowing medical history.

Aren’t medical records supposed to be private?

Not when it comes to schools.

Been that way for a long time too.

See immunization records and requirements.

Doesn't mean I like this.

More than likely he scanned a school ID I’m guessing ...not a drivers license ...

Perhaps you don't have a clear understanding of what is legal, and what is not, moron.

Nope. Thats for admission only and it goes to die in a file somewhere. They have never scanned your id and said “yep you had your mmr and tetanus etc so carry on”.

Huge difference here.

They were tracking people before that you fool.

But the digital age has made it far easier and much more pervasive and invasive than ever before.

I should really just move to Serbia in the mountains at this point.

They dont give a frick about anything and the US can't touch you there in a non-EU no extradition country.

Plus hot women.

I'm tired of this shite.

Whatever the government says is or isn't legal.

The government of Oxford, OH, made these men's behavior illegal.

Whether it should be illegal is a different question than whether it is illegal.

So, government is now linking our medical records to our driver licenses?

If so, that’s an insane HIPPA violation.

I was told by local Chef of Police that positive Covid test results are required to be reported to Department of Homeland Security who then reports it to local law enforcement (Chief of Police and Sheriff's Office). I don't know whether that info is linked to the person's driver's license or college/university administration, but it's concievable. There is very little privacy in the digital age, but even less during a public medical emergency, even after 6 months of said emergency

I’ve heard sheriffs say on y’all radio that they get a list of names who are positive and they research for duplicates. I can’t imagine that they link it to DL but in today’s bizarro world who knows

They’ve been tracking you for years. Big Tech and government are in bed together. Thanks Patriot Act. Anything in the name of safety, right?
