I love the Bulgarians so I'm looking forward to that.

I haven't done them in a while so my reps will probably look like I have something wrong with me.

I wonder if we'll see the stairway or the Seesaw first?

That looks tough and long. I might SS the rows and shrugs to cut the time some

Split squats suck…

Me and my son are both off today so of course we get a timed workout we have to do separately lol. We are just gonna modify it and do 12 sets as fast as we can swap weights and get under bar.

For cardio we will alternate who is curling and using cable machine and go til we can’t I guess

12 sets at 295 was it for me. Pretty awesome that I’m pressure cooking basically my PR party max from last Squatober.

14 sets @ 220

Last year was 14 sets @ 175, so solid improvement.

Just filled out my log for tomorrow. This is going to be roughly 70 minutes without a warmup.

Nice step up in volume and intensity so far this week.

This is my first time doing Squatober, or anything like this, so I didn't know what to expect of myself. I've read this entire thread so I know what other people have done on these pressure cooker days. I put my sights on 10 sets of 420lbs because it sounded nice and didn't seem too unrealistic.
Well, I got my 10!
Around set 5 I started to think, "Maybe 8 is more realistic?"
Perhaps it was pride that allowed me to squeeze the last 2 sets out. Unracked set 1 on the beep, dropped set 10 in the hooks right on the beep, so I made full use of my time.
I upped my TM on bench press to 95%, last week it was 90% and it was under-cooked. Tonight's 265lbs x 5 x 5....still felt a little on the light side of things, but I made up for it by shelling myself with the cardio. Only got 5 rounds with a 40lb monster band for press downs and 42lbs on an EZ curl bar. Press downs were not that bad, the curls killed me. I'll have alligator arms for weeks now.
This was the hardest day so far...by a lot.

Gonna go to the store and get some interesting cheese for my bacon and egg sandwiches. I'm thinking a Gouda or Swiss, maybe Muenster....

Gonna smoke it in the AM.

Thanks. I can remember last year when I had like a mental block of putting 225 on my back.

Damn it. Wanted to go to the health club tomorrow. Will have to do it on in the garage.

This one is gonna be tough.

That was 1.5 hours of fun!

Big forearm pump at the end. The grip strength is challenged after the deads, rows, shrugs and spits.

He is not lying when he called '70's big'

I'm hoping tomorrow is around an hour, so I can fit it in before volleyball game tomorrow night

Running a day behind this week, so I just finished up the pressure cooker. Finished 11 sets with 260. Compared to last year, I did 13 sets with 210 (last year the doubles were 80% rather than 85%).
Completed 5 sets of the cardio.
Gotta prepare myself mentally for 70's Big tomorrow as it looks to be a tough one. I'll probably cut down rest times and superset rows and shrugs to conserve time a bit.

Solid 70-75 minutes. My right bicep/elbow is angry right now. May give the safety bar a try tomorrow morning I give it a rest.

Glad I woke up and did this before work. No way I would’ve gotten this done after the Astros game today. Definitely took a solid 75 min. I’ll be taking the elevator instead of the stairs today lol

Yeah.

I’m walking funny after that workout.
