Yeah. I’m walking funny after that workout.

TIL, I’ve been doing Bulgarians any time he has called for SS’s.

They’re synonymous.

Split squats. Bulgarian split squats. Rear foot elevated split squats.

W2D2 Done!!

The 7 sets of rows is tough. I went too heavy, had to drop the weight twice on those.

Going to feel the split squats tomorrow

I'm glad you said that. I was going back and forth on that one.

Day 9 done!

Whew... When I looked at this one initially, it didn't seem too bad. Then I saw some of the comments about how long and brutal people thought it would be. This was definitely the longest day so far at 1:25.

I went as written on the plan with the exception of the rests on squats; those were 2:15-2:30. The two 8 rep sets got a little heavy, but still extremely manageable.
As far as the deads went, those were a nice weight/rep combination. I didn't use any straps as I'm trying to limit myself on when I use them. I don't want to get dependent on them. I finally had to stop and readjust on the last set since my grip started to slip.

I bumped up my rows a little because I was too lazy to swap the plates off the tree. Paid for it on reps 7-10 on sets 6 and 7. Those last few reps were just brutal.

Shrugs were shrugs, nothing special about them.

The RFESS were surprisingly not horrible. By no means am I saying they were easy. They just weren't as brutal as I expected them to be (based off the bitching from Insta). I've gotten more comfortable with them, but typically do them in sets of 5. Those 2 extra reps don't seem like much, but mentally (for me) they were. I went up on sets 3-5 to push myself a little more. I was good until rep 6 on set 5. Stumbled just a touch there and had to reset for the last couple reps.

Big forearm pump at the end. The grip strength is challenged after the deads, rows, shrugs and spits.

That didn't even dawn on me until I had to convince myself to pick up the DBs on the last 2 sets of RFESS.

You're 100% spot on with this!

Hardest workout by far so far. 80 minutes including a warmup. I already know I’m gonna be sore tomorrow.

Big seesaw fan. 90% tomorrow. I'm using an estimated max so 90% will be the most I've ever actually squatted.

Had to drop out. Back couldn’t handle it. I’ll be on the peloton today all.

Worst part is I hurt it in April. I had worked out every day from Dec. 26 of last year through early April. Got done working out … felt great. 15 min later I was walking to my mailbox and noticed my back was hurting. By night I couldn’t stand up straight.

It’s still not better and that was 6 months ago. Looks like I’ll be turning into a Low T cardio bunny.

Have you had it imaged? Have you tried to rehab it?

I think I have to do a lot more stretching to loosen up my hip flexors and abductors. I was having a bit of a pain in my knee/hip/quad area during the squats today and it turned into a sharp pain when deadlifting so I called off the Bulgarians. Took a bit of rest and a shower and it’s not bothering me at all now, so who knows. Im chalking it up to muscle tightness and going to be careful

I’m tired from yesterday, but not sore. Had to talk myself out of skipping today.
