Where does Rickey's stolen base records rank on the can't be broken list?

Many of the "unbreakable" records have a very strong argument, but I don't see those records EVER being broken as the MLB doesn't value stolen bases like they once did.

Probably at around 10 in baseball alone more insulated than Rickey's 1406 IMO.

Joe D's 56 game hitting streak
Ryan's career Ks and No-hitters
Ripken's consecutive games
Cy Young's lifetime wins and complete games
Johnson's career shut out record
The career triple record (I can't remember the name I think it is Sam something)
Cobb's career batting average and William's career OBP.

I honestly think that the 56 game hitting streak is more breakable than the stolen base records at this point

I agree on several of your inputs but I don't see one above the other for the most part.

Just take Nolan's strikeout record... If a great 20 year old in today's game showed up, like Kerry Wood and stayed healthy throughout his 22 year or so career career, it's unlikely but possible. Mainly just due to how they play the game now.

Rickey played forever, Rickey was an exceptional base stealer, everyone tries to hit it long these days.

A few years ago Altuve led the league in base stealing with 38.

In 1982 Rickey led the league with 130.

Walter Johnson also lost MLB record 65 complete games because his teams failed to score a run.

Shawn Green’s 19 total bases in one game is going to be a tougher record to break

Rickey once stole 33 bases in one month.

That would've put him 1 shy of the AL Champ base stealer of 2017.

Once Rickey passed Brock and then blew him away, nobody's catching Rickey.

As Rickey said about Rickey, back then they taught base stealing...and Rickey talks to young players in the A's organization as he's employed in their Minor Leagues and Rickey says the young players tell Rickey they don't care about base stealing.

Just get a guy on base and hit it out of the Park.

It's sort of weird Rickey became the GOAT base stealer in the AL DH obsessed with HR league and not the small ball NL in the 80s.

so someone is going to pitch for 22 years and average 260 strikeouts a season.... Justin Verlander is the closest we can use as he came up at 22 and is still 2708 away from Ryan.
We are seeing strikeouts increase in baseball but pitcher innings decrease as well. Last year only two players had 260+ strikeouts, the year before only 4, the year before 3, the year before that 1

Cy Young’s 511 wins. Win 25 games a year for 20 straight years and still fall 11 short!

High, but I still think Cobb's career batting average and Cy Young's career wins are the two most untouchable records. Neither of those will ever be even remotely threatened.

CFB
Kevin Smith (RB) had 450 carries in one season back in 2007. Averaged almost 33 runs per game.

1995 Nebraska team didn’t allow a single sack all season. I think a Navy team from the 60s only allowed 8 all season. That will never happen again with how the game has evolved

Theoretically, a really good option team could pull this off.

George Blanda threw 42 picks in a season. No way a QB is ever getting that kind of latitude again.

Reminds me of the old saying about the Senators that George Will quotes in Ken Burns' Baseball documentary. "Washington - first in war, first in peace, last in the American League."

Hey, a baseball thread worth reading.

I agree on your point that we will never see anyone attempt enough steals to break that record, much less be safe every time.

Many of the other records mention fall under the same category.

Baseball translates better than most sports over time, but still can be apples and oranges.
