Thats my intent. They have been offered several times to return property and I would not ask for additional charges. Zero cooperation, their parents might be shittier people than the thieves

Thank you for the info! These kids all come from loaded families. If restitution at trial doesn’t work, 100% fully intend to sue the parents, even if it only ends up me being a nuisance.
At least one of the 3 perps was on probation for theft already. Where are these kids parents??

My car was broken into and stolen a few months ago by a few juveniles. Thankfully law enforcement caught them and recovered the vehicle.
Little background, my father died in an accident a few months ago. I had several of his belongings in my car I had just moved out of my mothers house when it was stolen, including a brand new set of golf clubs/ gear that was valued at $3500. He and I were very big golfers. I contacted the store he was fitted at to get the receipt for the value of the set, as well as providing estimates for the bag, the range finder, etc.
I was invited to the disposition hearing, these are all minors involved. I am not familiar with any of these circumstances, can i bring receipts of the golf clubs to ask for restitution or do I need to go after the families of the kids in civil court?

re: How do you deal with a parent that is losing their mind?
Posted by ClampClampington on 4/13/26 at 11:30 pm to Napoleon
Hardest thing I've ever dealt with. Im 30 and my dad was 61 when he passed last November. Strongest, most stoic man I could ever know, but last June started seeing signs of dementia and psychosis. It was shortlived, but kick myself everyday for not seeking help right away. It may not have made a difference, but I would get him in right away
The brain is a weird organ, by the time we could get my dad diagnosed (and we still don't know what exactly it was) it was too late to do anything

Father Time was constantly getting into the face of an 18 year old white boy with a bowl cut from the cornfields of Nebraska. It was painful to watch. No choice but to retire after the same kid dominates you the last 10 minutes of the 1st

Man, Nebraska is down their top player and 2 of their top 4 overall, and Michigan is constantly in a battle to make up ground. This is shocking compared to how I felt before tipoff

Damn, Nebraska not backing down, putting the gas on Michigan despite learning right before tip that their best player Mast was inactieve with the flu

Casual Brutality.
Thats what Hoibergballs system is being described as. He has this team locked in and knows all the buttons to push to get them to perform. This team is a machine
Are they the most talented team in the county? Of course not
Are they the best team in the country? They might be

RIP the Rez… GOAT college party spot back in the early 2010s before shutting down after things got a lil rowdy for the Miami game
re: Explain Dylan Raiola’s decision to me
Posted by ClampClampington on 1/15/26 at 5:59 pm to Muahahaha
I doubt anymore will be said, but seemed like coaching staff and team had moved on from Dylan and the Raiolas. His backup Lateef played well at times, struggled others, but every chance his teammates and coaches would gush about his team first mentality and embracing his role as backup QB.
Don’t think that was a coincidence

re: Fred “the Mayor” Hoiberg has Nebraska basketball 14-0
Posted by ClampClampington on 1/10/26 at 12:56 pm to jb4
16-0 now, 5-0 in B10 play.
Holy crap - they were down 16 with 15 minutes to play to beat Indiana in their gym.
Wins over:
Oklahoma
K State
Creighton
Wisconsin
Michigan State
Illinois
Ohio State
Indiana
Nebraska is the only power 5 team to never have won a tournament game. Hoiberg has to be coach of the year so far

This might be the greatest volleyball game of the past 10 years. It's insane. Set 4 went to 37 points
re: Matt Rhule on the Penn State job
Posted by ClampClampington on 10/13/25 at 10:38 pm to Great Plains Drifter
I also do not think Rhule leaving is a gimme. He and his family genuinely love Lincoln. He would be a fool to not use the opening as a way to ask for more NIL money for players and coaches, he's one of the most influential and popular persona's in the state, I can't name one person dissatisfied with where Rhule has the program headed.
That's a lot of risk to go to PSU which has an angry fan base demanding championships now. At Nebraska, he has had a few years to build the program up as he likes to do. He went with that approach in the NFL under the impression he would be able to do the same, and it turned out not to be the case.
If Penn State is his true dream job, there's no keeping him. But I think he also recognizes that he has full control here and loves being the coach of the Huskers

Rice and Raisins
Dad travelled for work most of the time, so when mom got home late this was the staple
It was good as a kid, sounds gross now
Rice (boiled in milk)
Raisins

re: Is 2025 Nebraska women’s volleyball the GOAT college women’s team?

The Goat? Can’t say this early but they skulldragged the defending champs tonight and have obliterated 2 other Final 4 teams from last year. High level volleyball is fun to watch, and they are another level
