Per Cody Worsham’s tweet

Derek Stingley stats among Power 5 players:
- 1st in PBUs (9)
- 2nd highest graded CB by PFF
- Highest graded freshman CB
- Highest graded freshman defender
- 38.1% completions against
- 54.9 NFL Rating against

He has a very legitimate chance to be the best DB in LSU history and one of the best ever in college.

What are PBUs?

Edit: Damn, I guess I was the only person who didn't know that. I'm a dumb, acronyms are hard for me.

All great stuff. He's not PP7 level yet though. The future is bright.

He’s so good teams would rather pick on an all American.

It'll be sad to watch the NFL squander his talents with their pathetic rules for pass coverage.

If he entered the draft this year he would easily be a first round pick

Him and Surtain are 2 of the best corners in country and will for sure be next year. Just imagine if we would have signed surtain.. pretty sure he is number one of PFF top corners so far

Hey nerds,

Stingley's off to a good start.

But DBU isn't about stats.

If you want to talk GOAT, then we need some INTs, big hits and Badger mayhem.

He just needs to start completing his interceptions and he'll be the complete real deal.

I've never seen anything like it. He's by far the best Freshman cover Corner I have ever seen. At LSU we've seen some really good Freshman Corners but Stingley is on another level. People are trying to compare his Freshman season to PP7's. I don't think that's a fair comparison. To PP7.

Keep in mind that Stingley is doing it in this modern, wide open, pass heavy era. Corners have never had to cover this much space but he's almost single-handedly erasing half the field.

By the time Stingley leaves for the NFL in three years, he's going to be the best to ever do it for the Tigers.

I started a thread asking if he could be the best CB in the country this year. Its not looking that unlikely anymore.
