Set to play Saturday and wondering if anyone has played either of these recently. Searched and not much has been posted on these two courses. Trying to make a decision and any help is appreciated.

Played the bluffs a few weeks ago. They've lost just about every green. The traps are pitiful and the overall condition of the course is substandard.

I wouldn't pay more than $30 to play there.

It's a shame because it was always my favorite course in the area.

I'd play beaver creek, the greens are rough I won't lie, but everything else is in great shape as of about 2 weeks ago.

Really disappointing to continue to hear this about Beaver’s greens. Haven’t played there once this summer because of these reports. I wonder if last weekend’s rains will help at all... was hoping to get out there this weekend.

I know you only mentioned those 2 so I am guessing you're coming from somewhere around the Zachary area. If so and you're willing to drive, go to Carter Plantation. In excellent shape right now.

Coming from New Roads so don't really want to go all the way to Carter and we've been playing the Island. Was kinda hoping that these two courses got their shite together, but doesn't seem so.

Copper Mill was in pretty good shape a couple weeks ago. Greens looked nice, but were pretty slow. Everything else was good.

We played a couple months back and one of the homeowners was there. She said that they were going through a “management transition”. It was pretty much completely unstaffed except for a volunteer guy working the pro shop.

Played 3 weeks ago. They are redoing parts of some greens, so there was giant chunks of the green missing. Overall the greens were pretty rough, but you’re right about the rest of the course

I played copper mill back on Father’s Day and the course was really good except a couple bunkers had water in them.

I played copper today, with the exception of a few bunkers it was in great shape.

Best choice for a course out that way at the moment. Bring some hella stron gnat spray though. Greens were slow when we played, but at least there was grass on them and they werent all bumpy.

Worst summer for BREC...and that is saying something. Webb has been very bad all year too.

That's a damned shame because that is probably my favorite course in the area.

I actually went and grinded at Webb today and their greens have made a comeback and are in decent shape (for Webb)

Played 18 after work. $11 to walk is a steal. Surprised at how many trees came down due to Barry. Greens are in decent shape, as are most fairways. They need to get a mower on some of those tee boxes though.
