They no longer make his brand/model anymore. Was a Cabelas. Wasn't sure if anybody had any experience with ones not chambered, but seems like they are the way to go
Looked at those but man they are bulky. Caught some tuna recently and used my dad’s sealer, old school cabelas one, that wasn’t chambered and did great.

Vacuum Seal Recommendation

Posted by bleedpurplengold on 7/1/26 at 11:03 am
Anybody got a rec for a decent/good vacuum sealer? Got one years ago and never did my wet meats (fish & deer) that good and looking to upgrade. Nothing special and not looking to break the bank. Want to be around the $200 range.

Should look into False River Country Club. Will be opening soon and first year is members only. May stay that way as well.

While I have done that for espn and Netflix, never for appletv. I’ve only had it twice in my life and cancelled after the show I watched ended. Last time I had it was in April of this year and cancelled at end of month. Didn’t have a May charge and all of a sudden got an email stating I had been charged for Apple services. When I logged into my Apple account I saw it was for Appletv. Then once I entered the app is when I saw that somebody was watching Widow’s bay and was halfway through the 3rd ep. Few hours later they were on ep 5

That's what I did and no do not share the account. Contacted Apple and they refunded me, but really curious as to how this person achieved this. I know purchasing an app requires a two part authentication. Plus I changed the password to my Apple account about a year ago and nobody would be able to guess what it is.

It was very strange seeing somebody else watching our Apple account

Appletv Possibly Hacked

Posted by bleedpurplengold on 6/22/26 at 9:45 pm
So this afternoon around 4:00 I had a payment confirmation email come through stating that I made a purchase of around $14 for appletv services. Contacted my wife who said she didn’t make this purchase. Cancelled the service at that time.

When I got home around 5:30 I checked the Appletv app and noticed that someone was watching Widow’s Bay. It was on episode 3 and had 14 minutes left of the episode. Checked again just now and episodes 1-5 have all been watched in full.

Is it possible to know what device made the purchase or what device is streaming the app? Checked forums and haven’t had any luck in this regard except for them all telling me to do the settings thing in my phone to see what devices I’m signed into. I have done that and it’s only my home appletv, my iPhone, my extra iPhone that in my side tv cabinet for pandora use only and my kids iPad (does not have appletv app). Confirmed kid didn’t do it because he doesn’t have app. Plus apple always has a 2 part authentication which makes this even more confusing

Is there a way around the 2 part? I have already changed my password so all of my Apple devices will require the new password.

Main thing I would like to know, and not sure if it can be answered, is how crazy will traffic be everywhere during the World Cup? I don’t want to spend half our vacation stuck in traffic
Yep checked that one out first. Checked the rates for last week and they were a few hundred dollars and then checked the dates we wanted to go and they were well over $1k. Closer to $2k if I remember correctly
Just realized it’s during the final games of World Cup. Guess we won’t be doing that this year
Looking to take kids to a rangers game this July and getting overwhelmed with the amount of hotel choices. Kids are 9 and 7 so definitely want one with a pool. Found some really great places but their weekend rates are over $1k

Seeing if anybody got some good recs in the $400-500 range per night. Could even do separate places if it’s easier to do one night in Arlington. Any help is appreciated. Dates are July 9-12th

Happened to me to the other day. Decided to go to the furthest part of the woods as well on this particular day. Put the first stick on the tree and reached for my lineman's belt which was no where to be found.

Electric Fence for Dog

Posted by bleedpurplengold on 9/23/25 at 1:18 pm
We have an enclosed back yard where our dog can stay while we are at work, but when it rains she panics and digs a hole under the fence and escapes (also chews up the bottom of my fence boards).

I've tried multiple different things, but none have worked. Want to install an electric fence with a collar on the dog, non gps as I have heard that sometimes they get off alignment. I don't want to have to dig up my backyard and want to just connect the wire to my fence directly.

The issue I am running into is the way my backyard is designed and how the fences I have seen operate. From my understanding you have to connect each end of the wire to a hub that plugs into an outlet. I won't be able to do this since I just want to go from one corner of my back yard to the other. Picture my lot as a square and I need to run the fence from midway point on one side around to the midway point on the other side.

Are there any options out there for this type of system?

They were definitely teal

Any reason for a game warden to take a couple of ducks from a hunter other than being over the limit? We were doing work at our deer lease and at the end of the road the warden was checking the teal. Ole boy walked to the back of the boat with a mess of teal (couldn’t get an exact count) and the warden had two in his hand and put em in his front seat. We pulled up at the end of the exchange so the ticket could have been already issued. Believe it was 4 hunters in total and young guys
80 this morning in pointe coupee
It wasn’t much better in the boat either. Believe we went 12, 15 and 6 Wednesday through Friday. Didn’t even fish Saturday.

Had some guys next to us surf fishing while we crabbed. He was reeling in 10” white trout one after another

Didn’t speak to anybody that caught inshore
