OT's opinion on "Life Coaches"

From what I've gathered, they are usually people who never made it in their 40's and somehow this makes their life feel more credible. You don't see doctors or engineers as life coaches. I'll hangup and listen

It is a smarter form of MLM.

I usually just make fun of the people that hire them

You’d be shocked how unorganized many people are and how they lack ability to manage time efficiently.

Frauds. That is my opinion.

Whatever you need to do to make you happy and motivated I'm all for it.

I pay a guy to keep me current on powerball ticket purchases. With 2 a week it’s tough not to forget.

The only life coach I need was born in Bethlehem.

They’re all frauds. They failed at doing anything in life but they are manipulative enough to make stupid people believe they have all he answers.

We used to call them "Parents"

Not something I would pay for but I respect the hustle if you can make a living out of it.

So your old lady has a life coach?

Seems to be a lot of people in their twenties and thirties who don't know jack shite about life yet.

Those who can do.. teach.. those who can’t teach.. teach life .

Alex Honnold's girlfriend Sanni McCandless is a "life coach." Would you hire her for "coaching" sessions?
She's 26 years old. WTF does she know about life? One thing young people can't understand is just how many years it takes to acquire some true wisdom.
Sanni almost single-handedly destroyed Alex's dream. As the Free Solo film well-documented, Alex got two serious injuries after getting together with Sanni. As Alex says in the film, he hadn't had an injury in seven years, and suddenly he had two bad injuries in a short time, while training to do the hardest climb of his life. And she was trying to train him emotionally at the wrong fricking time. Her interference with his life and training actually made the climb more dramatic, because you wonder if she wussified him too much (even though we already knew the end result). In other words, this film was a terrible indictment of her skills as a "life coach."
(She does deserve some credit though. The best thing she did in the film was drive back home a couple of days before he did the climb).
