Brees will at least start to throw for 8 yards right?

8 yards from 4k. Every year as a Saint at 4k. Why am I seeing so much about him not playing at all? I have to assume that will be the plan.

Brees and Payton are both very statistically aware. Yes he’ll throw for 4,000 again.

Why would you play your QB in a game that means nothing before the playoffs? He is the all time passing leader in the NFL and is the only QB with multiple 5000 yard seasons. You know he can do it, so why risk even a single play to get hurt for 8 yards? People get too obsessed with the stats sometimes.

First series & call it a night

The only argument is that you want him to stay in rhythm and routine.
Not playing football for 20 total days.

No
Are you retarded?
Never sacrifice the team for personal gain.

When we've been in this situation before, he played a series. I'd expect the same this week.

I agree that he will start. One series and done, you'd have to think.

Doesn’t even have to be series, just let him throw a 10 yard out route and call it a day

He will get his needed yardage and then take a seat.

Brees will be In for a quick 10 yard pass to MT and then he gone.

Because there is also a downside of having too much time off when a team is rolling. If Brees sits on Sunday then he will have over two weeks off.
Hopefully he plays at least a dozen or so snaps Sunday just to keep him in the groove.

I think they let him play a series for the fans, so they can give him a proper cheer as he leaves the field!

I’d like to see 2 series for the starters. Let’s Ginn get some more first team game time and doesn’t stale our starters for over 20 days

Brees should not play but he rarely sits. Don’t be surprised if he plays a half.

In 09 if I remember correctly the starters played one series and then came out to applause. Drew will get one series.

You don’t.

He and Kamara start, run a series (get the necessary yardage), Brees goes to the bench when he gets it.
Done in a way that he gets to tip his cap (helmet) to the Dome crowd, much like bringing a baseball pitcher out so he can get the ovation.

On the road In Carolina? Your memory recalls the Carolina fans cheerin for them after leaving the field after one series? You have a weird fricked up memory if so.

He has passed for 4K every year since he started wearing black and gold. This would make it 13 consecutive seasons. Manning has 14 overall but they aren’t consecutive. I think he comes in and gets the 4K. Wouldn’t hurt to pad the completion percentage too.
