Just saw a website claiming Bridgewater will be starting. Might just be their opinion, but they act like it's confirmed.

I'd like to see Brees get the 8 yards though.

Wouldn’t hurt to pad the completion percentage too.

He'd have to throw a lot of passes to have any real effect on his completion percentage

Wow coming in hot there buddy, you really showed me how bad memory is.

It was the 06’ season at home against Carolina the starters played one series and then Payton called tome out to take the starters out in the second series. I got it confused because we finish with Carolina so often.

Doesn’t even have to be series, just let him throw a 10 yard out route and call it a day

I don't trust the Elias Sports Bureau with a 10 yard out.

They would find a way to cheat his stats.

If he does play for a bit, he makes sure with the yards.

I am in favor of total rest.

The NFL is record crazy in their reporting of young QBs or Brady and Rogers.

Drew and Sean like to make the media and their petty record stat reporting look silly.

I fully expect Brees to get more than the necessary yards required.

He then sits and coaches up our other QBs.

Because there is also a downside of having too much time off when a team is rolling. If Brees sits on Sunday then he will have over two weeks off.

I don't buy that a player like Drew Brees will be out of rhythm without playing in a game for 2 weeks. At this point in his career which he has been to the playoffs and won a Superbowl, sitting in a game like this won't affect him. He barely played in the Preseason and came out and lit up Tampa Bay.

I don't think he needs it either, but I would bet he plays a series or two.

Give Drew one drive then rest everyone that matters.

I thought that would be the plan for sure, but I think that’s gone now that they announced Bridgewater is starting

It’s not like DB can’t come in at some point and run a T Hill at QB type play, if the goal is the record.

There’s no way they bring in Brees at all if Teddy starts.

Would rub too many people the wrong way about risking injury and chasing record.

Only way to do it is to let Brees play one series and say it’s just to keep in rhythm (but secretly know it’s just to get the 8 yards and never admit it)
Then play bridgewater.

They eliminated that option by announcing Bridgewater starting

i think they will give the start to teddy, unless brees needs a consecutive starts record stat to keep up.

brees will come in at some point to get his 4k yards im sure of it, i dont think they let that pass only so few yards away

I’d like to see 2 series for the starters. Let’s Ginn get some more first team game time and doesn’t stale our starters for over 20 days

i think ginn plays the first half at least, like you said, he needs game reps

Do playoff yards not count in yardage totals? It be a serious question.

No. Regular season and playoff totals are completely separate.

Otherwise Brady would be the all time leading passer.

Just tell the Panthers you want him to throw a 10 yard pass 1st play and maybe they will just let him have it. You pull him from the game with no chance of getting hurt. Neither team has much to gain in this game so if the Panthers are honorable they might just let it happen out of respect.
