Anyone have any experience with this? Cost right at a grand. Does it give happy endings after it cleans your floors?

Get a pair of the iLife vacuums off of Amazon

$150 each

You will be shocked at how much they pick up.

Make sure the help (kids) clean it after every use.

Also fun to get them to play battlebots

We bought a Roomba a few years ago and it kept getting stuck under furniture. We eventually just quit using it. It's sitting in the garage gathering dust.

Robot vacuums clean as well as an eager kindergartner would clean.

They go over and over the same spots, leaving some areas untouched.

Why don't you use it in the garage to get rid of the dust?

Very cool contraptions....they will certainly not eliminate the need to clean your floors, though.

Plenty of less expensive options out there but they are awesome. Have one for upstairs and downstairs. Wifey doesn’t have to vacuum and I don’t have to pay for a maid.

The Neato maps the floor as it goes and does not overlap previously vacuumed surfaces.

If you have irregular paths throughout your home (most people do), then I doubt it's going to be effective.

Bought the wife a ,I think 690. Anyway, it has been doing real good. We are home all the time, so it is no biggie if it gets stuck. Has only one time doing that. Over all, after about two weeks in use, it has got any and all dog hair up. The wife always kept things in order, but after seeing how much dog hair she was leaving behind, she is now a happy camper I bought it.

I had the same problem. I think it was the 650 model. It kept getting stuck underneath my sofa. And since I had it running during the day while I was at work I couldn't really tell where it had and hadn't been once I got home.

It would either get stuck there or on the drop off to the utility room. It's supposed to have edge detection. Not so much.
