You should've had them meet you at the second district police station since, you know, it was right down the street.

Can you describe what the suspects look like?

I was selling a ps4 on letgo today and I met the buyer at university edge apartments right outside of LSU.
What could possibly go wrong with this plan?

Because the media has helped teach the perps to immediately turn themselves into victims.

Which one is you? This new handy-dandy access to every BRPD criminal incident helps us with believing these threads.
Not sure I believe you.

I was selling a ps4 on letgo today and I met the buyer at university edge apartments right outside of LSU. I have sold items on letgo at those apartments before and never had a problem. Well today finally bit me in the arse.
It was two guys in the car and the passenger got out and was handing me the money. While I was holding the ps4 under my arm he leaned forward while handing me the money and push the shot out of me to the ground not expecting that to happen. While he pushed me down the driver pulled up and he passenger picked up the ps4 and hopped in and they drove off hauling arse.
Everything happened so fast I couldn’t get the license plate. I knew the police station was down the street so I went over there and all they did was take my license and asked if I had a serial number. Unfortunately I didn’t and that is my fault. They didn’t ask me what car they were driving or what they look like and it was like oh well bye. This sucks and this will be my last time I ever sell something in person. I know dear diary!
A few things: 1.) You are dumb for doing it at an apartment complex. 2.) There is a spot at the police headquarters in downtown Baton Rouge JUST for these occasions where you meet at the spot and there are cameras all around. 3.) If a sketchy person won't go there (which I wouldn't sell then), you agree to meet at the entrance to Walmart or some other large store that has cameras all around.
I have sold several items and never had an issue because I won't sell unless I feel 100% safe.

Meet at the police station to complete the transaction. The police department is very much ok with their parking lot being used to complete these transactions. Some of them even have signs like this:
Consider this a hard lesson learned.

It’s the edge of a colored neighborhood.

It could have been worse. Chalk it up as a lesson learned.

I have sold some stuff online the same way quite a few times and every time i make sure and go to the police spots that are set up for this.
It’s actually comical how many people have actually made excuses for not wanting to meet me there to exchange and i tell them it’s for their safety and mine so if they can’t meet me, then it’s a no go.
I’ve even gotten the comical, i don’t trust the police. And i tell them, it’s not the police that are doing the exchange, it’s just on video so everyone is seen on video so if anything bad happened, it’s wuickly identifies you. And then i still get funny excuses

I guess you got an education for the price of a used game system. Did you neglect to give us a description of the thieves for political correctness reasons?

Might not be the wisest lesson.

Two men are behind bars after a dispute over a cell phone sale ended with gunfire in a busy Wal-Mart parking lot in Shreveport Thursday morning.
Police say Christopher Dunkentell met Abdallah Rayyan at the Wal-Mart Super Center at the corner of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and Youree Drive about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Rayyan had a phone to sell. The pair set up the meeting online, police said. Dunkentell got in Rayyan's vehicle to look at the phone -- but didn't pay and got out of the vehicle while holding the phone, according to police. They say Rayyan got a pistol and started chasing Dunkentell across the parking lot while squeezing off shots.
