Please provide a detailed description of the suspects. This is very important.

Nope, against company policy apparently. I was told all they can do is get a plate and not interfere. Sounds like the business itself is worried about a lawsuit backfiring.
No,
The business is worried about a minimum wage employee trying to stop thugs and getting shot and killed. Much cheaper to lose a few pieces of merchandise than settle a suit over an employees death.

Can you legally shoot at them as they’re running away? I’m not remotely opposed to concealed carry; I’m just not sure how you can get your gun out quickly enough for it to help in this kind of situation.

You need to be aggressive here, get some buddies and guns then put another ps4 for sale. Hopefully the same guys show up and you can blast them

I knew the police station was down the street so I went over there and all they did was take my license and asked if I had a serial number. Unfortunately I didn’t and that is my fault. They didn’t ask me what car they were driving or what they look like and it was like oh well bye.
My apartment got robbed Christmas break my freshman year of college. Among the items stolen was a rifle, so I figured they might find the crime worth putting some effort into solving. It was upon returning from back home to speak to the police about it that I learned how little the cops give a flying frick about burglaries. I knew immediately I wasn't getting my shite back and the cops weren't going to put any leg work into trying to resolve the case.
Always meet somewhere busy, open, and in broad daylight if you're doing an online exchange. Also, bring the strap and be prepared to turn that bitch into the O.K. Coral at a moment's notice. That's what keeping it real is all about.

Jacking my PS4 wasn't legal. If the guy were smart he'd drop the PS4. If not, then I'm shooting him in the leg and getting my shite back.

The police don’t seem to care much about theft. In fact, I actually had police steal $40 out my own pocket. And no, I am not even anti police. I appreciate what they do, but I’ve had an officer take cash money from me as a teen and basically state there was nothing I could do about it. He literally said, “thanks.” That’s certainly not a reflection on police, just one bad dude on a power trip taking advantage of a scared teenager.
Any ways, a few years ago.. my mom had her purse & phone taken right out the front of her basket outside Wal-Mart as she loaded her groceries.. they, nor Wal-Mart, cared to check much into their surveillance cameras.
I immediately reported the phone as stolen to our carrier and had it listed as such so they could never activate it any where. Then I put it as lost/stolen on its iCloud with a message to call me on my cell if found. An entire year had passed and one day I got a random text from a guy stating he needs my help to unlock the phone. I had given up all hope of ever getting back the phone.. I immediately had the guy call me (he was reluctant at first) and he was like a 16-17 year old football player from Acadiana High School. I told him the story and he said he bought it at a high school basketball game for $100. I have a hard time believing him because he says he didn’t know the guy who sold it to him and he just bought a pink iPhone 5c.. without even checking to make sure it worked?? It had a lock with lost msg on it.. any ways I got his name, I think I caught him off guard.. and I told him to turn it over to his principle. I also contacted the principle and he said he wasn’t surprised that the boy was involved in a shady deal.. once he turned it in we went to retrieve it from his school and I still left him like $20 and a note for doing it.. because he was upset about losing out on $100, but I still question if he was part of the original group that stole it along with lots of Christmas money from my moms purse.
