Who am I? I stayed in pentagon dorms, grew pot in my closet while looking as wholesome as John Denver, got a BS in ChE , and was one of Ted Gambordella's Jui Jitsu bad asses that could take a punch to the solar plexus.

My freshman year was in West Stadium dorm. It always smelled of sewage from the broken stadium pipes. In the fall it was hot as hell at night because it faced directly west into the sunset. My first two roommates were high school football players with blow out knees. The whole semester, they sat around in their underwear talking about not getting a 1000 yards their senior year. The whole semester, that's all heard about from those two, "1000 yards".

Next two were best buds, one thought he was Einstein because his picture was in the local small town paper. The other tacked up illicit pictures of his girlfriend, and letters with the saucier parts high lighted. He thought he was Hugh Hefner. I had albert einstein and hugh hefner wannabees. Both were taking remedial courses.

I think I was the only one to get a degree of the entire floor.

COVID19 doesn’t have shite on you if you lived in Kirby. There were more unknown diseases hanging around just in the elevators alone.

I visited KS in fall '74 and fall '75. It wasn't bad, just claustrophobic, but it had a great view. Then I stayed in Hatcher at the end of a spring semester. Hatcher was nice and had a/c. But it was so enclosed.

Pentagon was the nicest because of the trees in the courtyard and the separate entrances . One room that I stayed in was painted a dark purple. Very sleep inducing. In the '70's they let you paint your rooms. One guy painted his room a pale pink. WTF was he thinking?

705B, I hope they got Miguel's cum stains off the walls because they'll probably need extra TNT if not.

That place was so depressing. Couple of college pals lived the pre-renovations. We were hitting a little boogah sugah off the desk in Kirby one night when that big NBA fight broke out that winded up in the stands.

Anyone recall the stabbing of 1976? LSU football player (who would have guessed) Rusty Domingue was feeling pretty high saturday night. He just blocked a field goal against No. 1 rated Nebraska ensuring a tie. Then he gets bombed (gets even higher) and stabs a student. Pleads guilty, does 6 months time, gets released, and quietly re enrolls at LSU. He stayed in Kirby Smith. With the added wisdom and insight that age brings, Rusty managed to stayed out of trouble. He sure could of used that insight and wisdom in the fall of 1976.

Rusty was in army ROTC. I was also. We talked a few times. I thought he was ok. Once there was an over night visiting of an army base. Rusty asked if he could visit his parents. With the LSU football program, he never got to go home.

What's up, Kirby Room Brother? I was in 614A in Fall 01 - Spring 02.
You're welcome for the updated wall outlet wiring & if the after market rain shower head was still there. #GeauxTigers

604b I believe, 97-98

We found old playboys and 20+ yr old coke and beer cans unopened In The ceiling

We threw numerous water balloons out the windows across the hall facing the cafeteria onto bikers and walkers

You must have had to cut the lock off your window. My roommates cut the locks off so they could smoke then put a new padlock on at the end of the semester.

In the 70's, Kirby Smith was the most expensive men's dorm. East Stadium was the cheapest. I think it was $98 per semester. West stadium was $108 in the fall of 1973..

I was maybe 10th floor? Can't remember but it was up high.

Anyone remember the sweet custodian named Mary? Damn ol girl really hooked us up with TP and left the janitor closet open so we could get the paint and repaint our walls to hide all the dart board holes to avoid paying a fine.
