In this situation they haven't giving him the GM position like he had here at lsu and he is not happy about it.

Then it sounds like he's not as smart as everyone thinks he is.

Not his fault they didn’t keep their word. His wife is also from there so I imagine it was something she wanted. I mean it’s his home so I don’t blame him. If they don’t respect him enough to give him same job then bring him back. He’s worth it 2xs over.

We aren't desperate. The position remains open. It likely will until (if/when) AT puts pen to paper at UT. If that doesn't work out and AT wishes to stay at LSU, then you let him and give him the raise you originally offered because he already earned it. He's good at what he does, and already familiar with the operation, so I can't see a reason to turn him away if it turns out Tennessee didn't have greener pastures after all.

Well, when he had CUSTOM MADE JOB at LSU WTF did he expect from a coach who has never been a head coach before?

In all fairness, screw him. He left LSU for USC and wanted to come back. He now has left again. Let him deal with his situation.

It ain't much but when you Twitter search his name you'll see various people are tweeting that volquest and other UT boards are saying he's reconsidering because of job responsibilities

Maybe so, but if you do, make him sign a contract with a buyout on his end and no buyout on LSU's end. The guy did a good job but he isn't irreplaceable.

Come on Phat Phil...screw this up like we all know your capable of. UT will always have a hard time being a top tiered program as long as phat phil has his hands in the jar.

I doubt he's coming back. This sounds like a squeeze play for more money. The guy has Jimmy Sexton as his agent. No one uses the media more to leverage negotiations than him

I really can't see this falling through and him ending up back here

Would be absolutely hilarious if it does though

Tennessee is more likely than not going to frick anything positive up if it’s football related.

I would expect him back at LSU.

This is not about “shame on you”.....it’s about what’s best for LSU. He helps LSU.
