Have never handled/shot one and have a contact who can get me 45% off MSRP for me and SO.
Any recommendations on the brand and models. Will be using for CC primarily though not exclusively.
Thanks

I've got the P226 and previously owned a P229. They're tanks. Solid and accurate. On the heavy side though (all steel frame). If looking for something concealed I would go with something else. If form factor and SWaP weren't a consideration I'd be all for it.

I have a Sig P220. Its a great gun.
A little big for conceal carry. but other than that it is one of my favorites.

I have a P239 9mm
I like it. Nice Trigger single stack
There are better options for CC but you could also do worse.

My 226 and 228 are the best - if the shite hits the fan they will be more than reliable.
They are not conceal carry though - 228 stays in the truck - 226 in the house.

The OB a few years ago crowned the P226 the best handgun available.
I have 2 of them. Both are older West German made guns. They're amazing.
I also have a p320 (striker-fired) and it's a really good gun as well. Very good trigger though I'm not sure it's as good as the VP9

I've got a 226, wife (no pics) has a 229 and I've got a 938 for cc. Love them all. Extremely accurate and will handle most any ammo. The 938 is easy to conceal.
Edit to add also had a p250 and it's a POS.

Also have the p238, if you like a 380 this one is nice also.

Can't beat the P938 for CC. It's very concealable and pretty accurate for its size. I've got a his & hers in the Equinox.

Review....?
Anything other than the P250 all scream "buy me" when in my hand. Too steep of a price though. Everything I see that I like is north of $800

P290 is a great cc gun. Single stack 9mm pocket size that holds 7 rounds. Enough weight to to handle recoil without bringing your pants down when you conceal. It's Dao with a loong trigger and that takes some getting used to, but for a cc gun I wouldn't have it any other way. Has an available integrated laser sight if that's your thing. Retails for around 5-6 bills iirc. Great gun.

A couple of my SAO
Sig X five tactical it is one of the best shooters I own. I like it so much it's my bedside gun.
Sig 938 if your into 1911's this is a great option for CC. It is accurate and handles +p ammo really well for a small gun.

I can't say enough good things about classic Sig pistols. I would say the P239 is such a sweet, sweet gun - not "as" concealable as the mini guns from Kahr and Kel-tec, but those guns aren't classic Sigs either - and I would look at those first. If you want the "balance" choice, the P229 could be the way to go - comparable in dimension to a Glock 19 (but heavier, no question), it is concealable if you put some thought into it. It's double stack, so you don't give up a bunch of capacity if you go with 9mm.
Good luck. I personally don't own anything but classic Sig pistols at this point. My plastic gun experimental phase is over for the moment. I still might get a little Kahr someday, but I'm just as likely (or more) to conceal a P239.

P226 is... Wel was my favorite handgun
Now some thug is running around the hood with it holding it sideways
I'll be buying another in the near future
