One of the finest handguns available. I have never shot the newer polymer or striker fired ones but the traditional Sig is hard to beat.

I have a 239 in 40 with a 357sig barrel too. Its like having 2 guns in one. That 357sig is a badass round and what is carried by the US Secrete Service.

Just ordered a P239 in .40
With all the hate on here for .40, what made you choose it?

I e shot a good friends either 229 or 239 in .40. It was not a pleasure to shoot.

At all.

Only pistol I have right now is in .40 but I felt like it was to big for CC. The P239 is a single stack and a bit smaller than the G23 I currently have. After reading a bunch of reviews, it had great recommendations for a CC. I know the OB is anti-.40, but I have quite a few rounds of .40 saved up and I didn't want to have to start over in another caliber.

Have the P238 pro 2022. Love them both. Go p238 or p938 for CC, you'll be happy

You can get a semi-drop barrel from Bar-sto (be sure to select the "9 for a .40" option - I want to say they're $200 to $250) and ultimately shoot 9mm out of the same pistol. You will need to get 9mm magazines, but this is one of the best "2 caliber" solutions out there. You can probably do the same thing with the same classic sigs in .357 Sig and use the same mags as the .40.
