Our fields in Jones are holding lots of birds. Hope they'll stick around for a while.

18 teal, 1 pintail, 4 grey ducks, 1 bluebill, 2 specks.

I heard the Specks were pretty thick up there too. Will be there Turkey week.

Catahoula Lake is holding tons of birds but unfortunately instead of being worried about not having any water, we have blinds underwater
Crazy shite
What's SE Texas looking like MWP?

I'd heard catahoula had almost nothing. With those water levels probably not a lot of puddlers anyhow.

Loaded with birds. They will rest on the lake as much as they feed.

Got a good many birds in our fields in Oak Ridge area. Lots of teal, gads and whatnot but there are a fair amount of mallards mixed in. Haven't seen a whole lot on the big muddy but will know more this weekend.

Loaded. Been beating them up pretty good. Leaves me torn on leaving but I really want to get back to Mecca and hunt. Plus, family and my mom's sweet potato pipe on Turkey day....

Send those jones birds to Richland Parish please - things don't look so good for us right now. Too much water all the sudden.
We will see how things are stacking up with the youth hunt this Saturday.

Tons of wood ducks everywhere on my place. Every bottom has them. Haven't seen this many in years. Sucks to only be able to take three a day.

Had several flocks of snows and specs fly over Baton Rouge last night. Sounded like a pretty good push of birds.

SWLA Gueydan checking in. Birds are no where to be found. Weve killed maybe 20 so far out of our blind. Everyone else in the area is doing poorly too, outside of a couple blinds. Can't get our water right and birds wont work the decoys. Getting a way slower start than last year. Hopefully that changes quick.
FWIW we are seeing way more specks at this time than we were seeing last year. Hopefully thats a good sign. I'm going to make an afternoon hunt today.

Bayou Black - sucking tit right now. Lowest numbers we've had at this point
Hopefully things pick up.

Lower Terrebonne has been light light on birds but hopefully some push South and East with this weather.

We saw more birds on our lease than we have in the last 5 or 6 years years, but they all disappeared with this storm surge a couple weeks ago. I didn't see a single teal on 3K acres opening weekend. Word is that the birds are all rafted up in the bays south of the marsh. Hopefully this cool weather will push them back in.

im debating between trying to hunt open water or potholes in the morning. it was like the few birds we did get last week wouldn't commit, just a fly over.
did better during the week, but been hearing the same thing about them rafting up
