You got it right. Football is the only sport that requires a ticket for kids under 3.
We started bringing our kid around 10 months. Buy a cheap seat ticket. Bring them with you wherever you sit.

I'd rather take our chances with Floyd or JW on Wednesday against a lower seeded team and then have Skenes throw Thursday against a top 4 seeded team (assuming we win Wednesday). Win Wednesday and Thursday and you jump straight to Saturday......
