I have the Predator in 7prc and love it. Trigger is adjustable. Great cheek position on the stock and very accurate down range just feels good in your hand. Nice balance with these stock weights. Love tang safety weapons. I'm also beta testing the new Prairie in 7prc as well. Heavy barrel and just bad arse. 5 shots touching at 100 is insane. Have stretched both out to 3-4-500 yds with zero issues and great accuracy. The Prairie of course with those barrels is holding a 3 shot group at 500 tighter but both are in 2.5" circle. I did extend to 750 on next shots and the Predator was heating up and having trouble staying on the 6" gong. After it cooled down was fine. Prairie never had a problem all 3 on the 6" easy.

HEB is so far ahead of Kroger on so many levels of product quality this isn't even a conversation.

Stay away from the store bought cheap thin metal cookie cutter safes and get you a custom built one. better capacity use, truly safe and a true fire rating. These mass-produced models you see in every store use a fire rating formula that's garbage. YouTube has some videos showing all of them want last 30 min in a true house fire. None of them with either external hinge are not can stop 2 crowbars and 10min. SO easy to pop them. like butter. If your serious about your gun collection why would you buy a under equipped safe at a price range of any one gun..... to attempt to protect THOUSANDS $$$ you have invested? Makes zero sense to me.

I bet you a brand new one plus $500 cash against my choice, that i can break in it with 2 crow bars in under 10 minutes. Super light metal junk they all are. Go watch the fire rating go up in smoke on you tube on all the cookie cutter safes out there. I refuse to own one when there are truly secure fire rated options out there if you are serious about your guns. Spending under $3500 to protect a gun collection north of $10k is a simple definition of ignorance. Building a homemade model is a great route if you have the time and resources. It'll be 5x what a store-bought version is.

Its embarrassing as a deep cultural people of Louisiana to act like that. Its as bad as the EBT crew at the grocery store in my opinion. Hate to see them pull up at a place. Hope yall can buy them out.

No sir I don't agree. I grew up as a kid when south of i-10 hunting was some of the best in the state. Problem is those people decimated those populations and migrated north to find more gamey areas to destroy, not to find easier hunting. Most don't care, have no or little conservation minded efforts, take advantage of an area that good people try to manage and move on. Seen it from Tensas, Kisatchie, Red dirt, west bay, clear creek, and now they have moved in on Beouf so hard its impossible to find a place with a decent doe population. Against my better conservative judgment and less government approach to life....I do pray for more restrictions on young bucks, bag limit should be 3 statewide with 1 buck 13" spread 3 on one side. Some areas a draw for a second buck tag.

Honestly Ill prob never go back. It was absolute fire in late 90's and up until around 2008-09. Folks that frequented the place mostly all new and respected each other. Great deer population and many heavy hitters. Most of the folks only shot good bucks and let doe and yearlings walk
Since about 2010 it has been overwhelmed by the coonass population. Kill everything they can over hunt areas pushed the bigger deer out onto leases. Its a shell of what it once was. Not worth the trip other than good camping trip anymore. Any public hunting grounds that those people start going too often falls off quick. LDWF needs to better manage those areas when that happens but they don't.

The public was sold a load when they came out with "turkey guns" and folks fell for it. HARD

It was better before choke tubes and modern guns. New tech in chokes blows those old long tom 30-36" barrel guns away on consistency of pellets on target. Kinda took the spark out of it. Last one i went two was separated by 1 pellet over like 3 rounds. Less than 5 pellets separated top 10

I don't like many Remington 700 rifles but I like the rem 700 action in custom rifles. Love the Mod 70's as well. Big fan of Browning rifles. Just the nostalgia and craftsmanship of Browning. Like the older m77 model rugers as well. More of a custom rifle person now that im older. Tikka, savage, newer rugers and 14 other newer brands just miss the mark for me. too much plastic too much lost craftsmanship.
