re: What is Tensas like?

Honestly Ill prob never go back. It was absolute fire in late 90's and up until around 2008-09. Folks that frequented the place mostly all new and respected each other. Great deer population and many heavy hitters. Most of the folks only shot good bucks and let doe and yearlings walk

Since about 2010 it has been overwhelmed by the coonass population. Kill everything they can over hunt areas pushed the bigger deer out onto leases. Its a shell of what it once was. Not worth the trip other than good camping trip anymore. Any public hunting grounds that those people start going too often falls off quick. LDWF needs to better manage those areas when that happens but they don't.

The public was sold a load when they came out with "turkey guns" and folks fell for it. HARD

It was better before choke tubes and modern guns. New tech in chokes blows those old long tom 30-36" barrel guns away on consistency of pellets on target. Kinda took the spark out of it. Last one i went two was separated by 1 pellet over like 3 rounds. Less than 5 pellets separated top 10

I don't like many Remington 700 rifles but I like the rem 700 action in custom rifles. Love the Mod 70's as well. Big fan of Browning rifles. Just the nostalgia and craftsmanship of Browning. Like the older m77 model rugers as well. More of a custom rifle person now that im older. Tikka, savage, newer rugers and 14 other newer brands just miss the mark for me. too much plastic too much lost craftsmanship.

Going with Ruger Gen II Prairie 7mm PRC. What's your top 2 or 3 best .30 cal suppressors and why?

Omega 300?
Nomad ?
Otter Creek?
Diligent defense?
scent control products by 10000x is the most overrated part of hunting. Second place isn't even close.
this has been done more times than i care to count. if he needs a coastguard plate after the swap hit me up i can help him out with that.
Single model forecasting is garbage, Not gonna happen.
Chancy Frith at K&K taxidermy in Reeves fixed a tine on mine that i broke off twice!!and i have seen several sides he has done. excellent work.
zero fault. just hate to lose a Louisiana boy is all. maybe we can transfer him back.

keep it on your mind.... :rotflmao:
How did we miss on Blane Bradford in our own back yard?
True expectations are 8-4 with the challenges of not only putting a staff together that works well off each other, Need to find a couple of Portal QB's that can tote the load in the SEC. Then we still have challenges building a solid O-line and a depth chart to support it. We are losing key players on Defense that will need to be replaced and depth built. Special teams had its struggles this season. Need some athletes there that can sure things up. THESE THINGS TAKE TIME! If he was to go 9-3 I would consider that above ceiling for his first season. Problem is if he falls into a clover patch and puts together a 10 win season we are doomed as a fan base. We will expect that to be the norm moving forward because we are not smart and critical thinkers as a group. We will want his head on a stake in 3 years after a 10 win opener. That's the hard truth of our fan base.

Even the wood ducks in sloughs and creeks are scarce. I’ve walked 4/5 miles over last couple weekends looking in places that have held woodies my whole life. And struggle to get a couple
There are dozens of KC makers out there that are way better than dong Phuong. They are not a good quality product. Sorry if that hurts feelings. But not anywhere in my top 25 in Louisiana. Another heart breaker while we are here….neither are either of the Randazzo family KC. They live off of a legacy name and making those that don’t know believe that’s what a good KC is…mass produced, cheap ingredients, poor construction, and making a killing $$$$ shipping around the country. They are just not a good repersentation of Louisiana KC anymore. Your local grocery store bakery prob makes a better KC.

Might wanna look at the new AGM V2 Rattler in 50mm and 640 resolution. They are probably the best I’ve looked thru recently. Absolute Cadillac. We set zero on 4 different settings. Can shoot out to 400 yds zeroed each time with a touch of a button. No guess work. Super clear and detail is insane. We watched ants lined up crawling along brick mortar with it at 50yds.
