it was like the few birds we did get last week wouldn't commit

had a few groups of teal buzz the decoys, make another pass then leave, then the greys would flare back.
spoonies worked good and the dogris.
guy I was hunting with refused to shoot a fly by teal and would throw a fit if we would

someone on facebook posted a picture of 12 dogris, couldn't tell the females from the males, said 4 dogris and 8 "ringneck"... pretty sure greenjeans went with the quickness to his house.

of course the one day I cant hunt, they shoot a few mallards as well.

edit: HE couldn't tell females from the males.

Send those jones birds to Richland Parish please

If the DU Project on 15 is full of water than I am sure they are in there thick. I bet Wham is probably loaded up too.

I wouldn't worry to much as once shooting time starts next Sat, birds are going to be heading your way.

If it was 2 men, they should be legal. You can only kill 3 scaup/Blue Bills a day per person.

And since they aren't mentioned in the regulations, I assume you can kill 6 ring necks...

nope, it was definitely 12 dogris total.
he since took the post down

ring neck, teal, messican whistlers and a few others aren't mentioned, so its 6. I think ruddy ducks too

Less birds than last year in St. Bernard. The birds that are around have been pretty cooperative though.

second weekend much better than first weekend at our place. teal, redheads, ringnecks and grays making up limits. A lot of BWT. Seeing tons of ringnecks, but they are high, not on our lease yet. looking better overall, though.

Still a few around in N TX, but we need some new birds. Shot a quick 2 man limit of gray ducks this morning, but didn't see all that many birds.

My buddy has a field over by Wham. They did ok on Youth Day on Saturday. Not a ton but they killed a few, plus some bonus Hollywoods.

Can't be too far from us. My buddies carried 2 yoots to one of our pits and they killed a total of one gadwall Saturday. Said it was on account of the yoots couldn't shoot though..

Just curious, how is Wham looking? I know it can't be as good as Toledo at the moment but usually every duck in Mecca shacks up in Wham before the opener. I imagine between there and Sage on Saturday, many a duck will be kilt.
