Ryan Perriloux was the best athletic qb I’ve seen in this area. This guy is a little taller. Not sure he has the arm Ryan had tho. Looks like an elite prospect though.

I pluck most duck that we kill. We do shoot 85% ringnecks. If you want just the breast meat, filet it off the skin like a fish. It’s not hard.

Ringneck isn't a fish eater. Very good eating bird. Shoot them all day.
Dosgris/Scaup is a fish eater and can be very oily. Don't really care for them. Early season spoonies are fine to eat.

They did the survey this week. I'm sure the numbers will be out tomorrow.

Don’t make the contract if not willing to fulfill. Shouldn’t have fired him if you didn’t want to pay it out.

I've heard of a lot of good reports from the youth hunts in SELA.

I hunted in north battleford (north of saskatoon) in early september. There were tons of mallards and pintail. We also did very well with specks and canadians. Didn't have a lot of snows.
We've hunted there in early to mid september for approximately 15 years running, with the exception of COVID, and the numbers appear to be about the same every year. This year was noticieably wetter than the previous 3.

I’ve heard of some good reports south of us - along the coast. Grays and Teal. But not much in the freshwater yet.
Duck Season 2025/2026
Posted by OGhunter777 on 11/4/25 at 9:39 am
Anyone seeing anything?
Was at our property in Terrebonne Parish last weekend building blinds. Not much to speak of. East winds in in october and high tides killed about 80% of the grass we had.
Outlook for the season is not promising for me.

The marsh hunt is an experience you don’t want to miss. I’ve been fortunate enough to go 4 times. They’ve all been great.

Redfish and bass are still plentiful in temple. Still a very good fishing destination. Trout will be in there in short order.

It can be rough. Caught plenty bass and redfish in there this summer. The trout will be showing up shortly.

Lake decade certainly gets sporty. Trout fishing last winter was great. Would not recommend a Saturday or Sunday though. Literally hundreds of boats.

the bass fishing has been unreal this summer!
Same here though, i've been to our place several times over the past few weeks. We have a lot of grass. No teal, though. Plenty bass and sacalait!
