To be fair people complained about the pro bowl being lame back then too.

Pro bowls always sucked
Knew it was the sean taylor tackle before the video started cuz that's the only memorable play from the pro bowl ever

Goodell has destroyed the NFL.

It sucked even then. Players were clearly half assing it even in the 80’s

I'd rather watch the free agent bowl where guys get one more chance to put some good film out there.
Or even the Pro Bowlers playing each other in Madden. Anything with a little more effort

Perhaps I'm remembering wrong, but even with the Pro Bowl players in full pads, the vast majority of them were all dicking around the entire time. People love to clip the Sean Taylor play, because that's about one of the only legit plays to pick.
I know nobody likes flag football. But I don't mind it. It gives a chance for players to be out of the pads, thus their faces becoming more recognizable to fans.

Didn’t Brady also get lit up one time.

Players making too much now to be playing “tackle” football when it doesn’t count… it’s basically a business decision now risk/reward type thing

Then they should just name a pro bowl team and not have a game. If they want to have a skills competition that has nothing to do with the pro bowl, cool knock yourself out. But when you're having backup and flat out bad players having "pro bowl" next to their name because other guys don't want to be there, they've completely missed the plot. The fact they have this dumb thing on a Tuesday night in an indoor practice facility should tell them they need to know to just stop having it.

Funny that they used a clip from 2007 for what "we grew up watching". Nobody watched then either.
The last time I remember people somewhat caring about the game, the uniforms looked like this:

I mean the Robert Edwards stuff was a game changer. Literal career-ender

That...thing...they had last night was the most embarrassing thing the NFL has done in years. In a hotel ballroom no less
Then I find out the winners make almost $100,000 each and the the losers took home almost $50,000.

I can see that the current crowd didn't need all the seats that were set aside for diversity and Goodell's close personal friends.

I knew 1000% before I clicked into this thread that the video would be Sean Taylor absolutely destroying that punter lol

Up until the 80s they were still going hard

In the 1990's, players from the winning team took home $10K. The average salary was $350K but most of the Pro Bowl players were making $800K+. I wouldn't risk my career for a measly $10K.
