If you were 18 & going to college in todays environment, what major/career would yo go to?

With your knowledge of today's job environment, what would you recommend to an 18 year old? What would you personally do?

Let's go with 2 categories:

One for Louisiana.

The other anywhere else.

I bet it can be a cool career, but my understanding is that the earning power is absolutely atrocious outside of outliers.

I would pick a trade that I thought I might enjoy and start working there while earning a business degree.

Once out, get involved more on the business side, then try to buy a company from an aging out owner, or start my own company.

I was actually wanting to go in land surveying but the time you have to apprentice was very prohibitive.
