quote:

"I have tremendous respect for Miami and all the teams in the ACC — wonderful universities," Bevacqua prefaced. "We have no gripes about any of the schools in the ACC. But we were mystified by the actions of the conference, you know, to attack their biggest, really, business partner in football, and a member of their conference in 24 of our other sports."

"Just, we didn't appreciate the fact that we were singled out repeatedly and compared to Miami — not by Miami; Miami has every right to do that — but it raised a lot of eyebrows that the conference was taking shots at us," Bevacqua reiterated. "And you know, that's just not something we chose to do, we wouldn't choose to do that in the future. People might disagree with us, but that's just not something that we'd be comfortable with."

Oh no. What will the historic ACC basketball conference do without ND??????? They were only the gold standard (no pun) for college hoops!

The Notre Dame crash out is quite something to behold. A two year old would be embarrassed by their whining.

Well.. join their conference in football. You know, like you have in those other 24 sports.

Join a conference and you'll be subject to benefit of conference interests rather than a business partner with no protections once the conference has interests separate from your own.

What a pussy. Maybe don’t lose the hardest games on your schedule while beating up on the blind and the deaf.

Bevacqua strikes me as someone who never learned to write out all of his emotional issues and concerns in a word document and put it away for 24 hours.

With a day of separation, it's rare when you read something written in the heat of the moment and still think it's a good idea to voice.

Notre Dame still labors under the delusion that they are college football. While they're certainly an integral part of it, they no longer exist above the rest of the sport like they did 100 years ago. Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, and Georgia all command more eyeballs than they do, and they're not the only ones. The Irish need to evolve with the game if they don't want to ultimately get left behind.

You’re the single team that doesn’t play in a conference (non UCONN division). You choose to single yourself out every single year

ND has tried to single themselves out for years. Dumb fricks reap what they sow.

Not to play devil’s advocate here, but I don’t think I’d love if the conference I’m a member in for 90% of my sports and I bring a shite ton of money to, spent its last 3 weeks bashing on me at every opportunity.

That being said, they wouldn’t have done it if Notre Dame was in the conference for football so

Well, Notre Dame, you aren’t a member of the ACC in football. So, when it comes to football, it makes sense that the ACC would advocate for one of its football members over you.

I have a friend I grew up with that’s on the scouting staff and he’s exactly the pretentious DB you’d expect out of ND

ND sounds like TX before they joined the SEC

They want to put the ACC teams in their pocket and feed them farts til they're big enough to eat shite

I think the rest of CFB just fired the first shot

Good luck with this Holy War, Domers
