Uh oh EV bros.

Ford CEO Jim Farley, speaking at the Ford Pro Accelerate summit in Detroit on Tuesday, said he sees a huge impact from the policy change. While he still sees EVs being a “vibrant industry” going forward, it’s also “going to be smaller, way smaller than we thought.” He called the end of the $7,500 consumer incentive a game-changer and said he wouldn’t be surprised if EV sales in the U.S. go down to 5% of the industry from the current level of roughly 10% to 12%. The most recent forecast from J.D. Power and GlobalData estimated that EVs would account for 12.2% of new-vehicle sales in September 2025.

Other than Tesla, I don't think any auto manufacturers are doing well with their EV vehicles.
Some have more or less abandoned the projects

If it can’t survive on its own, l don’t care. See what the free market does.

Might as well get rid of GDI technology that is garbage and results in more pollution by burning oil and mucking up the combustion chamber.

so, people really don't want EVs?

Until rapid charging has reached a point where it can be done in the same time as it takes to fill up at the tank, AND chargers are as ubiquitous as gas stations, EV’s have pretty much hit their ceiling on market share.
As things stand, it only works for people who don’t drive much.

I doubt it.. Instead it'll let the free market work like it's supposed to. And I'm a Tesla owner (which I love BTW)
Nobody wants any of those other shite arse EV'S. Teslas are cool. They're fast. They're sleek. It's literally almost like driving a space ship. Who wants to drive some shitty electric Ford?

This has been a massive clusterfrick by politicians, US car manufacturers, and, "the people" deserve a lot of the credit for making it a political issue. Vehicle sales have been a driver of the industry for 100 years and I guarantee EVs are going to be a major part of passenger car sales in the future. We had a massive competitive/technological advantage over every other country in the world, and we ceded it to Europe and China.
This is winning the battle and losing the war.
