don't underestimate a healthy landon young being serviceable.

I thought he played extremely well down the stretch even if he was just thrown in there. Honestly think you can plug him at RT while we draft our LT in 1st round.

An absolutely savage indictment of this team's talent evaluation on the L's.

Watch Bowers actually be available but the Saints probably still have to pick O Line instead.

Thinking it should not be long before we re-sign Peat. He has not seen any market out there, so he should not cost much.

I'd be surprised if this doesn't happen.

I cannot comprehend why we let Peat walk and then not sign a single starting-caliber OT in FA when this is the case.

This team needs 2 OL, LB, DT, S, WR. We dont have the picks.

Ideally, one OL gets picked before 14. we trade back 2 times to grab picks and still get a top OL

We certainly don't overestimate him due to the very fact of his constant injuries.

I think they extended Ruiz because not doing it makes a terrible situation look even worse.

To be fair we really don’t have a lot if money. If we did sign a guy with limited money- probably more of a camp body than the actual answer. The 2024 season relies heavily on how we do in this years draft.

It’s what happens when you have piss poor drafting. No way should you have to sign Chase Young when you invested 3 first round picks and a high second rounder on defensive ends. And actually hit on an undrafted fa at the position.

It was the smart play, the market is full of Peat type journeyman starters and the draft is super deep at tackle this year. We should be able to bring him back or someone similar on a cheap one year deal.

Now to add intrigue, I have been seeing Dallas Turner and Rome Odunze drop to us in a few mocks. Would be really hard to pass on either of them if they make it down to 14.

Not after the beating I saw Carr take last year. We need a tackle in the worst way.

Honestly davenport, turner, foskey, penning are huge misses. Even Ruiz is nothing special

Everyone of us board GMs would've done a better job than this shite FO for those draft picks. I was yelling at the TV on all of them. 2017 was amazing but they've lost any and all good will. I just don't understand the reaches and huge trade ups. We passed on some really good talent for a room full of clowns.

Outside of Ram, we have not had the best luck drafting offensive lineman early

I will never forget the bullet the Saints dodged when they tried to draft Reuben Foster, and the 49ers swooped in and drafted him. Most thankfully, we drafted Ram instead and it has paid dividends.

know Odunze is a stud but I would trade down for someone who really wanted him and fix our oline/dline issues.

I agree. No way this happens though. It makes too much sense

We basically let Armstead ... just walk-

Armstead needed to walk. He's a great LT, when he's able to actually play. In the 2 years he's been in Miami, he has already missed 11 games. He's also the 13th highest paid LT in the league and his cap hits are starting to escalate.

Watched the whole interview.

- He said Heaner and Peterman could fight it out for the backup job but his eyes said they're not done at the backup QB position.

- Despite reports of Latt and the team moving closer to staying together, there was still a lot of uncertainty and concern in his tone about that.

- Doesn't seem overly confident in the Safety room outside of Matheau.

- Got a sly twinkle in his eye when asked about whether Pete (Carmichael) had called about acquiring Taysom for their offense. Said Sean has tried to bring everyone else over so it wouldn't be a surprise.

- Seemed to have the opinion that the OL will be much better suited for this new offense skill wise, and didn't rule out having Peat back.

- Eluded to the new offense style being aggressive/nasty "fun to watch" and running the ball being a big focus.

I know, screw DA we'll never win anything until he's gone.....
