We just called it throwback tackle.

I had never heard the above named until about year 2006 or so (friends kids mentioned it), it was called something else in the 70s when we grew up

as kids we used to play during Friday night high school football games on the patch of grass behind the home stands. Always tried to look tough and show out as the high school team walked to the locker room good times

One time one of the weird girls in our grade tried to steal the ball and run away. Well, a few of the boys thought she wanted to play, caught up to her and tackled her hard. She started crying, mom came out and was pissed off off. The boys said something like “girl shouldn’t try to play with us”
