Sounds like in today's America, if you fly, it might be you.

In fairness though, the last one is on Biden.

Pretty terrible logic when you consider the frequency of both.

I actually agree with the statistics and with your logic but DEI is real and it’s very much at work at Boeing.
And if you think that DEI will not have real consequences then you are a fool.
P.S. you must be a smoky Mtn fly fisherman? (Yeller Hammer) as am I.

A bunch of know-it-alls in here blaming Boeing for a delta air lines maintenance error.

You have to excuse them. You see, Boeing did have a major frick up of a new plane recently. So until the next major thing happens, shoddy journalism in this country will pass along every single maintenance issue with a Boeing plane as front page news. Nevermind the fact that every plane manufacturer and airline has maintenance issues on a daily basis across the globe. And the reason they can do this is because they know the average person doesn’t have the mental capacity or attention span to logically piece anything together. Instead they can just take the click bait headlines and run back to their echo chambers with it.

Boeing used to be a reputable company when it was ran by engineers… now it’s run by Wall Street investors who prioritize profit over safety. The airline industry needs to eliminate DEI altogether or we’re bound to have another major airline catastrophe.

This one isn’t on Boeing. The last 757 was built 20 years ago!

Give me a break, there were so many fatal aviation accidents related to maintenance issues in the past.

One of the most famous domestic aviation disasters, AA Flight 191, was caused by American Airlines going against the McDonnell-Douglas recommended DC-10 maintenance procedure in order to save a few hundred hours of work.

stand by this statement . If you can refute any of it speak up.

Your statement has nothing to do with the story. The journalist, like almost all these days who seek nothing but clicks, was sloppy and/or misleading to suggest Boeing had anything to do with the tire coming off. It’s also scary how many of you didn’t pick up on this.

I feel like this is my “ could have been me moment.” Transferring through ATL last night, we sat in the tarmac for a while before deboarding and taking another plane due to mechanical problems. Didn’t land in Nola til 2 this morning.

What does Boeing have to do with this one? More like Delta maintenance issue.

Are they using the DEI process to hire mechanics?

Yup. If you worked at a Jiffy Lube AND slept at a Holiday Inn Express AND are culturally diverse then you qualify as a Boeing aircraft mechanic.

This is like the bad days of the Eastern Block, a pervasive society wide breakdown in basic competence.

For brevity, please use abbreviations. In this case: D.E.I.

I was 9 when this happened. We were going to Hawaii the following Saturday on an AA DC-10

Needless to say I was a nervous wreck the entire week, during the flight, the week in Hawaii, and the return flight. I was never so glad to be back home and on the ground the day we returned.

Boeing put that wheel on 20+ years ago. How is that their problem? If you rednecks don’t change the tires on your F250s for 20 years, is that a Ford problem?
What if the wheel assembly was ordered and delivered from Boeing and it comes out that the wheel assembly failed and not just the bolts holding it on? Not sure if Boeing has a MRO but it’s a possibility.
