Saw a pic of this today. The wheel was completely sheared off. Didn’t appear to be a maintenance issue or anything missed on preflight.

Likely due to a hard landing (probably multiple), and no other obvious indications that an inspection was necessary, IMO.

When did Boeing quit making the 757? About twenty or more years ago? Don't blame the tire on Boeing. Does Delta know how to service that plane?

Yep. Definitely woke and DEI causing this, not cost cutting. We've solved it.
