Was William Shatner sitting in that seat looking out the window?

737 max 8. Cursed plane.
American did the first crew flight in Dec 2019 when they put the 737 back in service. They put the 737 back in the regular schedule for passenger flights starting Jan 5, 2020 at Dallas LUV.
My daughter and I were flying from BR to Dallas and then Dallas to Washington DC Jan 5 and the night before I was hearing about this on the news. Look at flight tickets and my heart went in my throat when I saw we would be one of those first flights on the 737.

How Is Boeing this horrible
How do you know it was not something that Alaska did during the acceptance check? We should wait for door plug inspections on other aircraft to be performed and all data to be analyzed before beating up on Boeing.
I get it is easy (and a little fun) to do.

I'm honestly shocked this didn't cause them to crash.

How does that not suck that passenger out? Got lucky and had seatbelt fastened?
Posted on 1/6/24 at 12:45 am to MrLSU
Doesn't look like much suction effect as they are flying - but apparently some smaller objects did get sucked out. I guess no one was in that seat by the window, thankfully.

I would be surprised if you haven't landed a 130 that looked worse by the time it got home.

See what happens when you don’t put the tray table up.

If you were in that seat you’d be dead. The person sitting in the middle seat a teenager had to be pulled back in the plane according to his mom

It doesn’t get any crazier than Aloha Airlines Flight 243.

Eh, you'd probably be alright. Especially if you're buckled in.

I’ve got an American flight at 9 this morning. I’ll make sure my wife sits by the window.

Could have been the airlines fault but Boeing has other problems themselves. They made a huge investment on the new 777x that they have zero returns on yet due to the 737 MAX issues.
ETA - The delays on the new 777x are not only due to Boeing. GE is having issues with their new GE9X which is a massive engine. The cowling of this new engine is larger in diameter than the hull of 737.
