Or maybe he just caught a contagious virus that is common in the winter, and no supernatural attribution is necessary?

Heard is a better prospect than Campbell is my understanding (or Jones for that matter). Doesn’t mean his is better but his ceiling is higher. Honestly my thought was thar Jones would eventually move inside and Heard would take the other tackle spot.

That all being said, is LT today still as coveted as LT was 15 yrs ago in the NFL?

I'm not sure it's best to just shrug off a 5* tackle with first round potential leaving your program after year 1. Heard is one of the best oline prospects to ever sign with the program.

Heard started an SEC game as a true freshman and the offense didn't skip a beat.

His attitude must suck if he's bailing on the team. I'll acknowledge that strike against him.

Burrow knew he would sit another yr and Lance knows that as well unless BK makes some changes.

Burrow was a grad transfer that fought for a starting spot for years before transferring because he had no path onto the field in a 1-slot position. Heard is talented kid still learning the line with plenty of opportunity here. This isn’t close to the same situation.

I mean, that's Heard's projections.

It also tells you everything you need to know about him. It is all about money. It is fine if his goal is LT because that is where is is projected and he wants to play there because it is the anchor of a line and commands top dollar. But it is also narrow minded and ignorant not to be flexible and learn as many positions as possible to make your even more valuable.

Heard blew it he could be playing LOT in the bowl game if he was only there. Bad locker room guy. Injuries and illnesses give players chances to play, Heard should have taken this opportunity, but oops, he is not there.

Are we all going to be cool when we find out he’s the starting LT for Ole Miss next year? Cuz that’s what’s about to happen.

Steroids and anti-viral drugs and he will be good to go on pumped up adrenaline. As for Heard, I now know what coach speak about re recruiting your roster means. If you allow players to essentially blackmail you, then what is to prevent all the team payers to threaten to leave if not given a raise in salary ie NIL. NIL is a misnomer it is basically a salary and pay for play. If you got to pay taxes on the money it is income. pure and simple. my two cents.

I agree. CBK’s quote doesn’t make sense that Heard is trying to make up his mind and they will have a discussion after the bowl game. If he hasn’t made up his mind yet then why not travel and play in the bowl game?

Curious what Heard's plan is. He knows the last day to enter the portal is 1/2/24, right? That gives about 24 hours to "discuss his future" with Kelly.

Heard has, due to his own actions, gone from a fan favorite to an entitled turd.

I mean. He's not as good as our current starting LT. I doubt anyone is cool with him walking away. But, what do you expect? You want BK to bench a guy that is better just to make him happy?

You must be an emotional woman. One lineman is sick and will still probably play and the other is 2nd string but oh, no Wisconsin will have 55 sacks this game.

Correct me if I'm wrong here as I'm sure I'll be in the minority but I don't see a big issue of heard transferring. In this day of cfb there is very little loyalty left in the game. The kid has 3-4 yrs to audition for the NFL. If he has someone else in his ear guaranteeing him a starting spot plus more NIL $ then why should he stay. Our spoiled fans didn't see an issue with burrow transferring

Where do you people come from. Get the hell out of college football and go watch the NFL. You’re everything I hate and despise about college football now.

Burrow was a grad transfer you dumbass.

1. He’s still on the team. 2. The ole miss stuff started on this board. 3. Sounds like you want to bench Will and play heard.

Playing next year doesn’t have anything to do with a bowl game. The kid doesn’t want to be at LSU. Sucks but let him go. If he can’t be a good teammate during Christmas then how’s he going to do it next fall.

No one said he wasn’t playing. It just funny that our LT has the flu, missed practice and you want to play LT and you are in Monroe.
