Of course it’s a possibility. Kelly did the same thing, it’s the reason Nuss had to wait.

Yall need to get off Howard and Manning’s dick on this board. Y’all act like scorned lovers.
Never wanted Manning. Kid has always looked mid to me. As far as Howard, I liked his high school tape. The times I saw him at LSU, i didn't see the hype that a couple media people saw in practice, "the ball jumped out his hand", and all that other crap.

People don't get it, not only did he transfer to the wrong school, he transferred too early. Let's say he lost the QB battle against Nuss next year, if he transfered then, he would have had 2 years of coaching under Sloan, watching Daniels transformation and learning like Nuss, and would have had 3 years to play at anywhere he wanted and would start immediately.

He had time to think this through more. Leaving immediately after one year was stupid.

Leaving LSU made sense. Choosing ole miss didn’t

it never did. He could have learned from Sloan and competed with Nuss for the starting role. It isn't like Nuss is some wonder boy. The kid ran off before a competition even began. At the very least if he lost to Nuss, he could have transfered one year wiser with immediate eligibility anywhere and 3 years to play. He would have saw Dart coming back and what Kiffin would do.

WH got absolutely cucked by Lane Kiffin.

Lane: ayyo Walker come to the sip! You ain't a 3rd stringer!

WH: OK

Lane: ayyo Walker I know you just transferred 2 days ago but I'm also taking this Spencer Sanders kid from the portal.

WH: But coach....

Lane: Oh yeah, he's also gonna be #2 behind Dart.

WH: wait...

Lane: ayyo Walker Dart's coming back for a 5th year how awesome is that?!

WH: the frick???

He will still be a redshirt sophomore next year. At LSU he would’ve had 2 more years to sit behind Nuss which would’ve put his chance to start at his redshirt senior year. Hes still looking at being 1 year ahead at Ole Miss.

So what you are saying is He (Howard) did not think he could beat out Nuss.

Stated differently, He would go into spring 2024 at LSU with a better chance to beat out Nuss than Dart who will have 26 starts going into 2024. Nuss has 0 starts going into 2024.

Nope. Nuss has two years left.

In all fairness, he wouldn't have been in any better shape at LSU. He would've been behind Nuss for 2 more years.

He’d have a much better chance beating out Nuss than Dart.

Live look at Walker:

being behind possibly Dart next year then starting. A year is alot.

It's possible Howard starts in 2 years, but it's also possible (if not highly likely) Kiffin brings in another transfer in 1 or 2 years, possibly shooting the plan for Walker to start in 2 years. Heck, Kiffin brought in last years OK State starter to compete w/ Dart for #1/#2 instead of leaving Walker at #2. Maybe Kiffin's not that impressed w/ Walker now that he's had him a while. If Kiffin brings in another transfer this year, it's not a good sign for Walker

This’ll sho that mean teenager from transferring from are team !!!

I know it’s hard for teenagers to understand but us adults don’t respect entitled kids who want it handed to them. There’s something to be said for working your way up.

If he’d been here 3-4 years and just wasn’t gonna get the chance that would’ve been a different story but to demand a redshirt for his own benefit and then transfer bc it looked like he no longer had a clear path to the starter role is soft.

You kids can spin it however you want to. Just make sure you sign off with your preferred pronouns so we all know whether you identify as a male, female,or a toilet seat bc we never can tell anymore

More often than not these spoiled QBs come in and don’t even live up to any hype. It’s a major thing. I never get excited when we get a “big” hs QB recruit.

With all the bad lately, thought it would be nice to have a nice laugh at Walker Howard.

So he is going to be a redshirt Junior before he can potentially start. If he couldn't have beaten out Nuss this offseason he likely would haven't started until his redshirt senior season unless Nuss got hurt or had a great season and he left to the pros after 1 year.

I still think he should have waited to transfer until after Spring of this season when he would actually compete for the job with Nuss but he made his choice and do find it funny he isn't seeing playing time any sooner.

I don't laugh at him. I feel sorry for him. He should've stayed at LSU, worked to improve and fought Nuss for QB 2.

Maybe Walker Howard isn’t that good

If so, he fooled a lot of LSU fans. According to some fabns, before he transferred, he was the second best QB on the team.
Once he transferred he lost his Mojo.

I always thought highly of Howard. Good talent. I thought he had a good shot to jump Nussmeier.

But No one should trust Kiffin. He will tell you whatever he needs to say.
It’s all true until it isn’t…

Sounds like Walker bought the line and now he’s stuck in a situation that has him sitting on the bench in Mississippi and much less popular in his home state

It's easy to. Look how stupid so many on here were about Jayden Daniels.

Two things we know: 1. Howard was at every practice and in all the QB meetings and thus knew the competition he faced better than anyone on this forum; and 2. he left LSU and transferred to Ole Piss.

What rock have you been under? He was already behind Nuss on the depth chart. The other poster is correct, Howard wouldn’t start at LSU until his RS senior year. He made the sensible decision.
