I believe that was expected due to his status as DES and logjam here. He doesn’t want to go to school and if he has to then he wants be 2 years and done which he won’t be able to do here bc he’s not better than the guys coming in from his class and the portal guys.

the 2026 version of these rankings Jake Brown was 68 (he finished at 81) and was drafted 65th. Logan Schmidt and Jensen Hirschkorn weren't ranked (Hirschkorn wasn't committed to us yet either). Malachi Washington was 83, Wessley Roberson 85, Steven Milam 98. So a lot of movement can happen. But he have more guys on the list now than we did at the same time last year. On the roster and in the class

Project, how likely do you think it is that the proposal that will stop the drafting of high school kids will actually pass?
Probably pretty well. Hopefully we allocate a good portion of the upper deck for those good folks

am talking about this, specifically. Early HS picks historically take up the most money within a team's draft pool. If there were a low number selected, that will mean more money for this 2nd half of the draft.

Yea unfortunately I think we are about to lose some recruits the next couple of rounds.

Latest Kiley McDaniel mock seems just far too favorable: LINK Curiel at 11, Schmidt at 38, Santarelli at 41, and Jake Brown at 65. Specifically mentioned Hirschkorn as someone who may be tough to sign. No mention of any other signees, and this is for the first 2 rounds plus comp round A and B. I know the 3rd and 4th could kill us, but it could be worse

Don’t fall for it. Expect to lose 8 guys and be pleasantly surprised if it’s less

Looks like some of our fringe guys are more signable than it seemed, according to those scouts.

shite
Jay doesn’t believe in tampering. He won’t do it.
quote:

easy take Honk. You cant teach his size and speed. He runs by everyone, and can track the ball. He has the feet and explosion that you dont see in guys that size. He moves like a 6'0" WR

You seriously think Kiffin and Fritz are better evaluators than Honkus?

Good luck with being back. We’ll have Trinidad for 2 more seasons and it was Pete not Lane that made us elite……Hotty Toddy

Absolutely. if Chambliss has a wet fart this season that’s good for another year at least. Pete is an excellent coach. You guys are lucky to have him. He’s a highly respected coach
quote:

I'm wondering if CJ Weinstein is one that said he's not coming and will just end up going pro

Enjoy the bus rides kid. If you’re scared to compete you’re better off in the minors
Well when a coach tries to hold LSU hostage and he is a shitty coach, you can expect people to speak of him accordingly
Fully expect this to be heard in Baton Rouge by a judge with season tickets to LSU basketball. It’s the way forward

That was Mikey Romero

Shoot. That’s right
He was Jay’s first commitment at LSU.

Will she cry about being sexualized like the ebony queen did ?

Sounds like the NCAA is going to push back on Madar and we’d have to fight in court. It also sounds like based on recent precedent he should have 1 season remaining to play at LSU due to his military service time…so we’d have a good shot to win if we want to fight it

I’m sure the ncaa will fight us on all these kids but Wade is prepared to fight and may well field a team that will be ripping folks a new a- hole come basketball season

Time for Bregman to step up he's made over 100 million.

I’ll let him know. We are playing golf later
quote:

while playing 1B don’t think he played 3rd at NC State at all, which was the main reason Jay was able to get him here.

Right but the reports were still there. He was noted to have decent athleticism for a guy his size and showed more than a lot of people gave him credit for defensively
