I guarantee you that nobody bashing or laughing at LSU in this thread or any other thread of the same kind has read the article nor do they have knowledge of what’s going on behind scenes. They see a headline and run like ignorant fools.

Read the article and go find the article published by The Athletic days after it was announced that they were working on a separation. All the information you need to know is right there.

This is nothing more than Kelly trying to get his money. LSU has more than enough evidence to support its stance.

The funniest thing about LSU hiring Kelly was Scott Woodward thought they were getting Brian Kelly, Tommy Rees, Marcus Freeman and Matt Balis . Instead ND had seen enough from Freeman that they promoted him to HC and basically gave Rees & Balis blank checks to stay as OC & Strength Coach. If you really want know what went wrong with Kelly @LSU NOT getting the ND assistants that he knew and trusted to follow him fundamentally undermined him in Baton Rouge. He unexpectedly had to rebuild his entire staff at a place that he knew little about. Hiring Denbrock saved the offense but BK essentially made blind hires at culture (strength coach) and on defense. He never was able to recover from those initial missteps. Then ND came for Denbrock 2yrs later and you knew the offense was about to flounder because it was his offense and Kelly trusted him implicitly. Sloan neither had the chops nor the professional standing with BK to tell him to stay out of his kitchen. Once things went bad Kelly meddled with Sloan which made things worse. He never would have meddled with Denbrock

Lots of words to say nothing. Of course you assume your head coach can assemble a staff. If you value the coordinators that much then maybe you should just offer them the head coach job. Kelly was an outstanding hire on paper and ND cried about losing him for 2 years. Let’s not rewrite history just bc it didn’t work out.
