Ok he is QB #3 at Ole Miss and he would have been QB #3 at LSU. So we agree on that it finally seems.

Now, whether the QB 3 vs. QB 2 reps narrative was true or not, I don't know. It was reported by several LSU media close to the situation as one of the reasons he left. But you are correct that might not be true, could be media narrative based on hearsay, etc. So fair point.

Regardless of QB2 vs. QB3 narrative or potentially getting on the field at Ole Miss quicker than LSU, neither narratives change the fact that as of today, among JD, Nuss, Dart and Sanders, Howard is #5 in that list. Period.

He actually, in my view looking at the QB situation at both LSU and Ole Miss, would have a better chance to start at LSU next year vs. Ole Miss, if he is as good as all the 5***** gazers said he was. Lets be honest, there were many on this site as with other LSU sites pissed off about him leaving after the Purdue game.

Time will tell. Ole Miss will likely finish 10-2 and make a NY6 bowl game. That means he will get 15 practices in later December. I will be very curious to see what Lane does between December 4 2023 and January 2, 2024 with Portal window. As of now they do not have a QB commitment for the 2024 signing class. They did sign one last year (Austin Simmons who was a 91 rated 4****). If sometime in late December you hear Lane is in the portal looking for another QB, then that tells you Howard is not the clear #2 at Ole Miss nor is Simmons who they signed in 2023.
