If anyone thinks the 2nd Amendment isn't vitally important now, they need to be hit in the head with a hammer.

But I think everyone in Israel has to serve in the military.

The State of Israel requires every Israeli citizen over the age of 18 who is Jewish, Druze or Circassian to serve in the Israel Defense Forces (although there are some notable exceptions). Other Israeli Arabs, religious women, married individuals, and those deemed unfit medically or mentally are exempt from compulsory military service. Regardless of those exemptions, many of those exempt from military service do volunteer to serve in the Israel Defense Forces. Once enlisted, men are expected to serve for a minimum of 32 months and women are expected to serve for a minimum of 24 months.

You would be surprised how many American Jews have moved there. Israel encourages and provides incentives for Jews to move there.

I saw a video of a couple with their kids, dad with bloody hands already, basically waiting to be kidnapped. Did these people not have guns? Living that close to Hamas, I’d want guns.

Not true. Rural and most suburban areas, yes. But they would have a field day in urban areas.

I believe everyone must do at least two years of military service upon turning 18 in Israel, unless that has been changed

And people question why the left wants to take away guns. They can't implement full control if they are worried about people defending themselves.

How do you not leave your wife w/ the kids they are 10m old what happens if the uncle is killed they just starve to death or die from lack of oxygen?

My wife and any any family members that are in that safe room. My eldest son is in there with them to protect if there is a breach.

Not sure why people have such a difficult time believing that a couple in their home wouldn’t ambush some people trying to kill them?

I mean it seems reasonable. Take up a firing position and wait.

If they ran out of ammunition, then it’s over.
