If you want all your elderly relatives there you are gonna have to ditch the destination wedding idea. Many of them may not 1) have the budget to travel and 2) physically can’t handle traveling so far due to medical conditions, etc.
You either want lots of family there or you want the destination wedding. Unless y’all are rolling in cash you won’t be having both…especially if y’all want Hawaii.

We picked out rings together, got married by JP, and had a party at a Mexican restaurant where we paid tab. No stress and had a blast. No one cares about a fancy wedding except the bride. Save your money for something more important. If you want married by a pastor and a few witnesses that can be done too.

You need to get used to making an executive decision and dealing with the consequences afterwards. And if she asks for your opinion, make a decision, don't say "I don't care" or "I don't know". She might immediately disagree but at least it gets the ball rolling.

I agree 100%. Y'all are out of your minds if you think that a lot of family/friends will be following you to Hawaii to attend your wedding
Destination weddings are so cringy and delusional.

If she is in her thirties and delaying she doesn't want to get married.
Look, you need to have the conversation with her. Do you want this?
You wouldn't be posting here if you thought it was that she was really overwhelmed.
Because everything you are writing shows a woman who doesn't want to get married to you. This is a red flag. You don't have to publicly respond but I bet if you think about it, my point is probably right.
Do both of yourselves a favor and be honest with each other.

Don’t be a trashy person who plans a wedding for football season.

True love doesn’t require you to have to imagine draggins.

Hire a wedding planner. We did, and it made it so much easier

Think about it…you stress over planning all this bullshite to make sure other people are happy.
This is what I told my wife when we were planning ours and what I told the wedding planner. We are doing what makes us happy, playing the music we like, getting the food we like. If someone else don’t like it they can frick off

Yep, something about the wedding is off-putting to her.

Go to the Justice of the Peace and spend the wedding money on something important.

My granddaughter got married in Durango Co. a few years ago in July. Beautiful weather, beautiful area and lots for guests to do. Plus, they have several wedding event places to do the reception and what not. Our daughter spent a lot and did hire a wedding planner from up there that did everything from the church to the event center, including hiring the caterer too. Look into it.

Destination Weddings are great, especially Hawaii, most friends and family will not be there.

Just elope. It's better for everyone. Nobody really wants to be at your wedding and think of the money that you will save.

Or just don't do a destination wedding.
To me they are kind of ordeals meant to exclude certain people (often one side of the family)
I mean, have the fricking wedding somewhere accessible, then go on YOUR destination honeymoon. Don't force other people to take a vacation the may not be able to afford or be left out.
It's a needless a-hole move unless the destination is only a few hours for most

Fiance and I looked at wedding venue pricing for one day and immediately let everyone know we will be having an immediate family only ceremony at our in-laws back yard.
Its hard to cut people to fit a budget. Very easy to not invite anyone in the first place
