Gets doubled a lot

Playing out of position inside. His length and quickness belongs at big end and thats what he’ll play in the nfl

Rusty and not 100%

Relax Smith will be a force in the near future. Takes awhile physically and mentally to recover from a MAJOR knee injury plus he is rusty and coming off a recent ankle injury. Kelly is playing him into shape.

Can't do that. Not against SEC teams. Flint should be getting him in game shape.

I am convinced that he has not fully recovered from his knee injury. I hope this is not a Glen Dorsey situation, who was never the same after that dirty chop block against Auburn.

The dude hasn't exhibited the fire and ability the hype said he would bring. Couple of the freshmen and transfers appear to have more fire in the belly right now.

Not giving up on him yet but he needs to get nasty on the field quick. The team needs him.

I saw him favoring the leg he injured last year.. I don’t think he has much confidence in it quite yet..kind of playing not to get injured again.. he was mauled by the Arky center quite a few times.. sometimes pushed back 8-10 yards off the line of scrimmage

I’m still seeing him in the first round of some mock drafts which makes me question if these people have a clue.

Mock drafts can say whatever they want. At nut cutting time the NFL teams will be watching every play multiple times then make their judgement

It takes time. Acuna came back from injury and was tentative. Year two, 40-60 and counting.

If you watch the game and focus on Smith and Perkins, it's not pretty. Smith is just a guy at this point. Obviously he's coming back from an injury and I'm sure he'll get better but at this point it's not great.

When you watch Perkins he just looks really confused. Arkansas had a good game plan to just let Perkins run himself out of plays.

He looks exactly as he did his Freshman year, when he stumbled upon a few sacks, but otherwise looked as he does now. Plays too tall, no fast twitch explosion.

Y’all said he looked awesome then though.

False. He may have against Grambling, but Arkansas was not doubling him.

He has not displayed quickness at the position. Jefferson has been way quicker.

He just needs some reps. He was out for a while and it will take some time to get up to game speed.

Hopefully

SLOW AS HELL. He is not in shape to play. He turned his back several times getting blocked. Until he gets quicker by losing some weight, 99 needs to play. Quicker off the ball.

It took me until the 4th play of the game for ARK to see them double him. Should I keep watching or take your word for it?
