This lawsuit and allegation we are looking to fire Kelly for cause is the cherry on top
Publicly accusing agents and your AD of collusion was the two-scoops of vanilla base to get this party started
Firing the AD was the sprinkle of nuts
New President gaffe w/ Verge on again off again on again was the hot fudge

What rational person wouldn’t see it this way?

Not much difference between him, Kiffin, Lincoln Riley and those types
They’ve all had success and know how to teach advanced offense and QB play. None bring much physicality or great defense to the table

He's on the hot seat because he's not that great of an OC. The Brady love here is just pure nostalgia
Reality is likely somewhere in the middle.
There’s also a significant amount of LSU fans who like to undermine what he did in 2019 and the fact he’s a sitting OC for one of the best offenses/teams in the NFL despite Josh Allen throwing the ball to a bunch of hacks

It’s because they weren’t even in position to get serious until late last week, and I’m sure damage control has been their first step
Wouldn’t be surprised at all if there’s nothing serious going on

Fair to say Hilton has been disappointing but Barion Brown and Trey’dez Green should be getting multiple targets beyond 25 yds in every game plan

So…who’s at fault?
Injuries?
BK culture?
Brad Davis lack of teaching and development?
Sloan lack of process/recognition in practice?
Bad talent evals / recruiting?
I mean, we’ve racked and stacked 4- & 5-star kids along the OL since BK arrived.
Callaway, Davis, Curne, Adams, Echols, Chester etc
Yet, we struggled to block LaTech
Time for a reset all around there.

Apparently Woodward liked to meddle in the staff hires which he was unqualified to do.
Yes and no.
I doubt he single handedly involved himself without consultating with several people like Verge, Austin etc.
Need to keep in mind that when things aren’t going well with his coaches after they’ve made their own hires, it causes all kinds of issues:
Fund raising gets harder, recruiting quality replacements gets harder, preserving the investments made in HCs, etc
Take Brad Davis for example. How many assistants and coordinators did Orgeron go through after he got his extension in 2020? At some point, you need to get involved to help your struggling coach who can’t help himself. Davis wasn’t coming to LSU when he did unless he could be given some assurances, which he likely why he was the one holdover for Kelly. Had Orgeron made the OL hire it would’ve been another unqualified coach like most he hired.
BK wanted to be “aligned” and clean house when he got there. He replaced some good LSU men with a lot of crap especially on the defensive side.
Not gonna fire Kelly but at some point you have to help him whether he likes it or not when things haven’t worked. BK burned up a lot of buyout money and good faith with the base after that 2023 defensive performance that ruined a national championship level offense.
AD at LSU is basically the head of Football. When you have $100M invested in a HC and you’re cleaning up his messes made from the immediate staff decisions, and trying to keep the base and boosters engaged by putting your best foot forward to stay relevant in NIL, recruiting, contending for playoff runs etc — it clearly got to a point that it required a team effort and intervention during both the Orgeron and BK regimes.
I’m sure Woodward wishes that he DIDN’T have to get involved like he did.

Is JD Lafleur that bad that he can’t even take this clown’s job? How about Donovan Green, is he that much of a gimp now after blowing out his knee at A&M?
Sharp is the worst player on the team that actually plays. I get FCS vibes every time I see him involved in a play. Always looks like he’s way in over his head

re: LSU and Brian Kelly are at odds over his contract buyout
Posted by burreauxxx on 11/9/25 at 3:03 pm to LSBoosie
Based on Kelly’s email, I think it’s reasonable to believe they were working towards a settlement. But so much changed after
I think you can thank the idiot Governor for running his mouth and insinuating collusion w/ his agent and Woodward, then firing Woodward who I’m sure BK thought he’d be working with on the settlement

Supposedly the story was Woodward made him keep davis.
The Orgeron spy allegations are interesting. It does seem clear that Woodward hired Davis because Orgeron was at a point where he was wounded and unable to lure a quality OLine coach. Lsu had guys like Campbell and Jones in state they needed to land.
I also found it interesting that of all people they made Davis interim HC for the bowl game etc. And then Kelly proceeded to clean house except for Davis  Seems clear that Woodward insisted on Davis staying.
Kelly brought an OLine analyst with him that he worked with at ND that many assumed would be OLine coach. And last year brought in an OLine Coach to be Run Game Coordinator and TE Coach which seemed telling that he wasn’t happy with Davis.

Agree Nuss had time
This offensive scheme is just awful. No identity, no rhythm, no leadership.
It’s stunning the lack of deep shots taken this season with the WRs we have. I know Nuss’s injury likely a big reason but coming off a Bye and in this scenario w/ an interim HC I’m surprised we didn’t take more shots. This game plan mirrored every other we’ve seen.
The other issue is the amount of negative plays stemming from bad discipline/penalties and bad scheme. How many games have we routines found ourselves off schedule and way behind the sticks? I can’t remember a game where we didn’t face 2nd and 14 or 3rd and 15 way too often. When that happens, your percentages of competing passes drops significantly no matter how much time the OLine is providing, obviously.
Should we be able to scheme guys open with our weapons far more than we have this season? Yes.
Do we scheme to put the defense in conflict, adjust properly, find & target their worst defender, effectively/deliberately use mismatches like Green? Nope.
Has the lack of a deep passing game limited this offense? Yes - every DC is going to play tight man or shallow quarters. No brainer. Also why the screen game doesn’t work because DBs aren’t concerned about getting blown by off the line.
Nuss hasn’t been great. OLine has been far from great. There has been bad luck with injuries. But more than anything else, this all likely stems from a bad culture and terrible scheme.

I think it’ll be a greater commitment, just not a decade
Something like 5-6yrs, $55-65M with bonus incentives
Puts the job at around $11M per, with around half the commitment you had in Kelly
