The first thing you see with Jefferson is his speed off the snap and deep quick penetration. It sometimes looks like he is offsides he's so fast. Yes he should definitely be in there more!!!

Fortunately for him, the NFL drafts on potential but I agree with you that he's been disappointing so far. The talent is there, but a major injury can sometimes mentally screw you up. It's almost like he's afraid to go full speed for fear of re-injuring himself!

I’m going to give Smith a little bit of a break in that he was facing one of the highest rated centers in football, but he just doesn’t have the fight in him right now. Jordan Jefferson seemed much more disruptive. Could have been he was fresh, which then makes me criticize the DL rotation. If you know you’re getting beat up front, help him. Don’t just let get pushed around when you have a guy who can help.

He had 19 tackles his freshman year. For comparison, Perkins had 72. The reality is Smith has done nothing to warrant the hype he's getting and his play looks like a liability at this point.

Do they play the same position? Smith is a DT.

He is not the same player. It may be physical, it may be between the ears, or both. I do not think it’s rust.

Yeah, he is soft AF. Consistently get's blown off the line. He just looks weak. I thought he was supposed to be powerful and explosive. Maybe the injury and recovery just took a lot out of him. Hopefully he'll show some improvement next year but he doesn't need to be on the field much this year.

Yep. It’s tough coming back confident. He’ll come around.

Yeah, I agree. Dude just isn't delivering the goods as advertised. Could it be another overrated 5 star gone bust?

He looks tentative.

Blowing out a knee has psychological ramifications. Harvey Williams was never the same after his injury.

Looks like Tarzan...so far has played like Jane, but I'm willing to let him slide for a few more games!
