You might be correct in saying that our other pitchers can hold WF to 3-4 runs. Here’s the problem, Wake has a guy on the mound that could very well hold us to 2-3 runs. So if we were to go out there and lose 3-2 tonight with Skenes sitting on the bench, you’d probably feel like an idiot.

I’m thinking Jay keeps Skenes on his regular schedule because of the hundreds of millions PS has riding on his right arm, making the finals or not. I don’t expect to see Skenes until Saturday, assuming we win tonight.

Odds aren’t super great. I wouldn’t have considered it at all a couple weeks ago.
But things have changed with these pitchers.
And WF is almost defeated before the game starts.
It’s worth a shot. You don’t lose anything if you try it.

Well, this is it. There’s no tomorrow if you don’t win tonight and Skenes is the answer. You don’t let them jump on someone else and play from behind if you can help it. Skenes gives you THE best shot at that.

I’m pretty sure when they interviewed Jay during the game last night he said Skenes won’t let him start anybody else if there was going to be another game

No, it would suck, but we're not playing for an appearance in the finals. I want to win the whole damn thing and my gut is telling me that saving Skenes for Saturday is the way to do that.

If he is ready, you do NOT save him. At this time, there is nothing to save him for. We haven't earned a slot in the finals yet. You have to earn that spot first.
