Is there a local population to support something like that?

none that would risk death by going anywhere near new orleans

but its going to be one hell of a big tax write off when it goes bankrupt 6 months after it opens

New Orleans finds the most obvious ways for Politicians to get paid by an unneeded development in a shithole area that will only bring bad actors and keep the good paying money away.
Not surprised

Blue Bayou is laughing at this idea. The rendering doesn't look like a waterpark, just a bunch of pools/ponds in the middle of NOLA East.

Unless the price of admission is prohibitive, this will be a total and abject disaster.

I will never set foot on it.

Oh man, I can’t not imagine who is gullible enough to invest in that shithole. Might as well call it ghetto land.

Look how many cars that parking lot can fit!

So much space for break-ins, might as well include an auto-glass factory on-site

Lots of room for discarded dirty diapers too

As a former lifeguard at the wave pool in westwego I’m gonna go and say the lifeguards there are going to be REALLY BUSY.

When I first saw the pic, first idea I had was to setup a tent in the parking lot to sell floaties. Will be making bank.

The crazy thing is when something like this opens I think it will need to be very expensive for me to consider going.

It is counterintuitive but I have to imagine it being so expensive the trash won't be there.

No way this actually gets built. If you have $500,000,000 to spend you aren’t building this in the East on a dilapidated piece of property that hasn’t been occupied for 18 years.

They should spin off Sea World and create "Swamp World". frickn Alligator/Croc pits. Snake petting area. Nutria catch contest. Could sell a shite ton of trinkets as well.

Really missing out on a perfect biz model.

There’s no viable police force to police it. Gonna be a massacre.
